Locatie geweldig dicht bij de leeuw
3.9
The breakfast was quite bad, and the hotel was not clean
3.9
Absolutely superb location looking over the Waterloo battlefield and 5 minutes walk from the Lion's Mount and Museum. Very comfortable beds. Windows were a bit small (portholes) on the second floor which didn't make the most of the view. Good breakfast!

Location to the battle of Waterloo breakfast was very nice
When I booked I wasn't informed that the restaurant and bar are closed Sunday and Monday nights.
3.9
Perfect location for the Waterloo battle field and museum. All in walking distance.
Check-in. Nobody on the desk on arrival, (mid-afternoon), and sign directed us to the adjacent restaurant. Staff in restaurant didn't want to know!
Rained during the night and our room had two velux windows. It was noisy. Otherwise no complaints.

The location is excellent, the staff are great and the restaurant food is very good. A great place to stay when exploring the Waterloo battlefield.

none of the staff spoke or understood English and won’t even try

Location & feel of the place
Couldn't work out the hot water to make tea...but didn't spoil anything
3.9
Excellent location right on the Waterloo battelfield
Restaurant was shut, and all adjacent restaurant was shut too. The bar was closed, to get any food or drink you needed to drive into Waterloo town. Bad value for money
3.9
comfortable, clean and very friendly and helpful staff, good food
Restaurant service was quite slow and group menu had limited options

Was a last minute booking after our trip to the battlefield, and turned out great. I've forgotten his name.., but friendly check-in/reception, and we bought a few drinks from him, as well. Good spread of items for breakfast. I think it was an extra charge, but my wife and I thought it was worth it. The room was bigger than I was expecting, but I think we got upgraded because we got in late and it was the only room left. Don't quote me on that though. Also, you can walk right out of the hotel and see the Lion Mound lit up at night. Have a steady hand if you want a good picture.
The parking lot is tight, but we still managed to squeeze our CR-V into a spot without dinging anyone's door. You could also park along the road in front of the hotel, fyi. Lots of room out there.

Nothing
The room was excessively expensive for the quality provided. Really tiny, no desktop, barely space. No fridge inside. The parking was full, so no possibility to park my car at night. Breakfast too late, starting at 07:30, with no possibility to getting it in advance as a picnic breakfast. I wouldn't recommend it.

Fabulous location for the battlefield. Good mid-range hotel with excellent restaurant and breakfast. We stayed in the “Wellington” suite which was excellent.
Location can be difficult to find with satnav. Hotel description needs to include clear directions. The location is remote so apart from the hotel and the Italian restaurant next door there is very little to see or do in the evening. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Manager very helpful with a particular issue.
Location unique.

The “Wellington” suite was superb and the bed was very comfortable.
No kettle or tea / coffee facilities in the room.

Very friendly staff, excellence restaurant experience, so glad I chose this hotel for my stay albeit only 1 night.

If you are a military history buff, you have to stay here. Fabulous location. Where else can you wake up overlooking La Haye Sainte and La Belle Alliance? Lion mound 300 yards away. Great Italian restaurant next door. Waterloo mirco-brewery at Mont St Jean Ferme about 1km away. Perfect.
Only the weather - we got very wet walking back from Hougoumont, but who cares about trifles like that when you are ticking off a top-10 bucket-list experience.
3.9
the property was in an ideal location for the Waterloo battlefield museum. It was clean and tidy, and room was comfortable
The restaurant was closed as the owners were away, and this meant there was only the Italian restaurant next door available for food. staff were OK but my personal opinion is that they were not as friendly/attentive as they could have been.
3.9
staff excellent and great location on the battlefield and room very clean
Rooms dated and no lounge or bar so people sat off Lobby eating Pizzas and making noise til late
3.9
Closeness to historic location. Yet very calm
Toilet doors/enclosure need to be close proof to isolate well when closed.
3.9
For the low cost, we had a great night sleep.
The windows were open because it was summer and you could hear a red traffic
3.9
The Location and the breakfast.
It was perhaps the hottest night of the year, so no aircon or a window that opened completely caused a very uncomfortable night.
3.9
The hotel location is less than five minutes walk to the main museum and memorial commemorating the Battle of Waterloo. Other memorials that are in the surrounding area are also easily accessible by foot.
The room we were in on the second (top) floor lacked air conditioning or large windows to cool the room at night. On the night we stayed the day had been very hot and even though it was cooler outside, the room on this night did not allow for a comfortable nights sleep.
