My room did not smell fresh

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 12 months or so. Only because it is conveniently close to my place of business up there did I repeat my visits, every time for 5 nights. In reality I consider this hotel an expensive dump!

Just about everything, starting from check-in to the breakfast. Particularly disgusting is their "holier than thou" explanation for not making up the room every day. They claim environment when it is clear to everybody that it is just another measure to improve profitability by saving on personnel. Nobody in his right mind demands clean bedding and towels every day. I do not have this at home and I do not need it in the hotel. But can you imagine how depressing it is to return from a day's work to an unmade bed and a half full garbage bucket, not to mention a not very clean bathroom? I call this not environment friendly but simply not hygienic. Of course, they claim that one can ask for the room to be made up, but why should I have to ask for what is supposed to be the minimum service provided by every hotel in the world? For flushing the toilette I needed my two thumbs and all my force. What a stupid system! For breakfast they had 12 different sorts of tea, only one of them black, English Blend, no taste or character! I really cannot report anything very positive about that breakfast buffet. After half a dozen visits I would expect them to have stored my particulars on the computer. But no, that does not seem possible and I have to re-complete the same stupid form every time I arrive. And this after driving some 600 km. The room: See the image below. I would not want this table in my home!

Good that you can bring dogs for a preset fee no matter how many you take with you. Cleaning is always good on Scandic hotels. If you are vegeterian (ovo/lacto) there's a lot to chose from. Close to a big road so it's easy to take the care everywhere you want.

Breakfast was not good, if you're a vegan. Vegan butter, cheese and milk, that's all. No soyghurt and no other spread to have on your bread. To few vegetables. Pancakes smelled and tasted bacon one morning. Must have made them in the same pan without washing it first. Disgusting. Room was old and worn down. They don't even clean everyday unless you ask them. Badly sound proofed. Could hear snoring people in other rooms. Also when people wake up and get ready there's a lot of sound everywhere. Whole hotel area is fenced off and outside is a residential area with a lot of litter. There's also a gas station that you have to pass to walk outside the area. Not nice and clean when when you are with dogs.

Breakfast and staff were great.

Family room smelled of cigarette smoke. I know people break the rules in hotels and then it is hard to take the smell away, but not great for my 3 year old child.

This hotel should have max. 2*. Nice hotel outside, 80's without reconstruction inside. Never again for me.

The sofa bed available in the junior suite should be provided with a topper mattress as the sofa bed is very tough and uncomfortable to sleep

Hotel have no air-conditioned rooms. The bathroom were very basic . The sink was not draining the water asked for help no one attended. The value of what you pay in really not worth it for such hotel facilities( over priced). Have to be fair the breakfast was realy nice that the only good thing.
