Tolles Essen, tolle Zimmer, beste Lage - einfach Hildesheims bestes Hotel

hotel is just in the center of the city and has its own parking lot. the room had a view to the center , which had a x-mas market at the time! room and the bathroom is very spacy. everything works properly as well as the heating (it was freezing outside during my stay). beds are super comfy!

if i must say something ; i would rather use stairs instead of the elevator. there wasn’t any access for the room i stayed , but not a big deal.

Insgesamt alles sehr gut.

The location is amazing at the heart of city center. Room was clean and had enough space.

Location right in Center. Indoor parking - lot of restaurants - a good bar - its an experience worth. And not to forget the fantastic breakfast,,,,, :-)

We booked a room with a view of the market and it was fabulous. High floor, 2 dormer windows, birds eye view of the Christmas Market! Market right outside the hotel doors.

spots in parking garage are very tight but great to have parking on site

the usual top class value for money of the Van der Valk chain!

Decor and restaurant

One night was quite expensive

Massive noise at 530 or so in the morning: garbage collection I guess, right under room window. Smthg like that for that kind of a room rate is simply unfair.

-we stay here every time we visit my home town of Hildesheim. it’s always the same. -staff are very friendly and always polite. -my grandfather built the underground parking garage in the 1970’s and they’ve recently upgraded to a ticketless system (amazing). -absolutely gorgeous location looking over the restored market square. I highly recommend a room with a view of it. -restaurant is pretty decent with seasonal menus (nice white asparagus in May) -breakfast buffet is vast and German standard. -the location needs a second mention, neatly in the very centre of the city and parking is painlessly downstairs.

breakfast buffet is sometimes a bit stale… a minor complaint dining room could use a coat of paint… it’s functional, but could be better.

as pointed out not a good value for the money. the pictures on the website are showing much more beautiful rooms for the category superior double room. poor view, the blanket hat a stain on it. the stuff was not helpful or forthcoming. rather more on the I don’t care mentality kind

a superior room with a very small window to a wall. extremely expensive for the value. stuff was friendly but not really competent. not knowing if the window can be open. agreeing that things are not how they are supposed to be but doing nothing about it.
