The restaurant and all staff were really good.

It was right in the centre of town with some great restaurants right on the doorstep.Pet friendly ,3 Park within minutes of the hotel Train station 10-15 min walk

The TV was ancient with limited channels Breakfast didn't come with a price list.I had a bowl of porridge and they tried to charge me £7 for it.

the room was a good size, breakfast was lovely. most of the staff were helpful and kind.

the staff and the way they managed a situation. the volume of the music of a bah mitzvah on Friday 5th of May was unacceptable. I complained to reception staff 3 times. on the last time at 12.20am I was told they had tried but the guests kept turning it back on… there should have been some sort of management in control there. it was like children were running the reception desk. guests of the party were smoking in the hall, up the stairs, in the corridors. it was an awful start to our stay and I would like to request a refund for the first night. our room was situated directly outside the party room. I have videos of the level of noise it was absolutely unbelievable. no other solution was offered. and staff didn’t seem to care about the welfare of other guests.

The story of the hotel - the oldest one in Scotland! It has the vibe and it's just great! I stayed in Salutation Hotel only one night but this was enough to experience how great customer service is. The lady at the reception, her name is Fiona, was super helpful from the moment I checked in. Then she kindly helped me with finding out some location information for me and how to get to particular place. Other members of staff were great too, whilst I had a lovely breakfast and a dinner in the evening. The room was spacious, clean, a bit cold but considering how old is the place, it was ok. I would stay there again for sure.

Booked at very short notice. Staff were very welcoming and remembered us from previous stay a week ago. Good relaxing atmosphere.

Unfortunately, due to a very large group of residents , no evening meal was available on this occasion.

The beds were super comfy and there's a lot of history there. Tasty breakfast in a great setting. David Bowie and the Beatles played there, the history of the place is great. Loads of tea and coffee provided. 3 separate single beds for me, my sister and mum.

Outdated decor and in need of freshening up. Service a little strange during breakfast. Not clear whether to seat and help ourselves. Not many plugs.

I booked a Superior double, guided by the pictures on Booking.com. However the room I was allocated was nothing like it, small L-Shape on the 3rd floor with limited space. . Bathroom fan was very noisy and ra.n for a very lo g time after light was switched off..

Love staying in the Salutation. Big comfortable room, great breakfast and lovely staff. Always our first choice hotel when we visit Perth

The quirky layout of the old hotel.

Single glazing windows - therefore noisy in city centre. Bathroom had faults such as toilet wouldn’t necessarily stop flowing in order to refill cistern by itself. Sink was almost detached from wall. Water marks everywhere within bathroom. Bed was rock hard solid and four pillows on double bed were so thin and flat it felt like you had to fold pillow in half to get any cushioning for head and neck.
