Location is good

Parking is expensive and some refurb is needed especially the bathroom Electric socket not secured properly to wall.

it was a clean and bright room, staff were friendly and communicative, I'm sure would have been happy to answer my questions if i had them. the hotel is really central,

having info about local attractions is always helpful, Nothing was available as far as I could see. solo travellers are always put in a room with a single bed - never really appreciated by anyone!

Very hot under the roof without AC

The room was good and facilities were well laid out. The shower was superb.

The room had a cobweb hanging down right in the middle of the room and a sock over the smoke detector. After waiting two hours for room service we were than told that no order was traceable leaving us to go out and find a takeaway at 10:30 at night. We then had a continental breakfast in the morning and the restuarant staff then said to reception in front of me straight after that we had a full english! There was only two other people in the restaurant, obviously trying to scam.

Breakfast was delicious and offers a good variety of food.

Had everything we needed including parking and was close to town.

Walls were thin, sounded like other people were in room with you.

No air con Room was small and tired

I liked that the location of the hotel served its purpose for us as we wanted to be close enough to the train station and by a little village.

Unfortunately I am in the process of writing a complaint to the general manager (I’ve been given his details). I could not believe the temperature of our room. We didn’t have any air con, the windows would barely open given we were on a high floor and we had one fan that was circulating hot air. Health and safety standards should be that a rooms temperature is no higher that 20 degrees, ours was easily 28 degrees! It’s Concerning that you are willing to allow guests to stay in such a small, hot room! I am not happy that I spent £110 on a room where I had no more than an hours sleep given the temperature. I spoke to the manager in the morning and his answer (which having a smirk on his face the whole time) was did you ask for another fan?! To circulate more hot air around the room?! It’s fair to say I’m very unhappy and do expect some form of refund.

Breakfast was very good and staff were helpful in letting me have access to the room early as I was attending a wedding at the also sorting the problem regarding confusion over breakfast. Room was very clean.

Only one slight criticism would be for blackout curtains in the room.

Location is good. A few mins walk from the train station. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Good tea/coffee facilities in the room. Bathroom was roomy and clean. WiFi was good.

Room was very warm (due to the weather). A fab was provided which was good.

Close proximity to venue

Service at breakfast was poor. we waited over 50 minutes to get our food and when the food arrived, it was not what was ordered.

thankfully well signed up but extremely confusing layout. plug points either side of bed would have been welcome as well as plug point for tv/kettle which shared just one.

No lift to second floor

The helpful and friendly staff. There was always someone to answer questions and offer help. My luggage was collected from my room at the requested time and left securely at reception until I was ready to check out.

I had a single room which was a good size with a double bed but due to the sloping ceiling it was difficult to use all the facilities. The coffee etc was in a corner and I could only reach it with difficulty. There was no bedside table - I had to use the chair
