Really nice place!

Incredibly nice girl at the reception, comfortable bed, wonderful view from the window. Clean, cozy, comfortable. Room was very big and has nice design. The restaurant and kitchen are located behind the hotel, in the garden, and it's just incredibly nice to have breakfast or just read a book there.

A bit dirty shared kitchen, but that's understandable because it's shared 😅 And also the room looks little different than photo

This place was perfect, room was comfortable, close to the beach and restaurants, etc. Sonya was very helpful with directions and communicating where to go for different things.

Beautiful, clean hostel in great location. we stayed with our two little children and everybody was absolutely amazing to us and to the little ones. we had an amazing stay. thank you ❤️

The location is great, the building itself as well as the gardens are simply lovely, well kept, peaceful... We were expecting an average hostel experience, where we typically hope for functionality in return for low prices. So Amar was an extremely pleasant surprise in that it turned out to be a place where we would even be happy to hang out, relax, read a book, outside of sleeping hours.

I would have appreciated it if the breakfast option had been flagged and explained a bit more -- I barely remember being asked about this during the booking procedure, so we ended up opting out but without having exactly decided to do so. I'll add that when we got there and I saw the price list for breakfast options they struck me as a little over the top expensive.

The entire vibe of the place was amazing. Just outside of the center so very quiet but close enough to walk.

Very noisy room, there was a generator running all night and lots of cars passing outside our room.

Loved everything about it, especially how easy they made it to join in on surfing and created a culture where it didn't feel like "lessons," it felt like you were just going out surfing for the day and learning how to better yourself along the way. Amazing how they took care of everything for you with getting the boards and wetsuits together, organizing the best times of day to go, and driving you to the locations. Rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly.

-first: they advertise to have free parking but there is no free parking! You can park "free" at the supermarket about 400m away. I'm wondering if that's really legal... -the room smelled strange, a little acidic, almost like puke for me -the bed had two mattresses on top of each other. But why? Felt like they were so worn out that there we two needed -way to overpriced for what you get and we slept at a lot of hostels here in Portugal, no comfort at all! The room was more than tiny and looked nothing like the pictures. This was the worst of our hostels -noone there in the evening/early morning to clean the toilets or baths as we had to share with a good amount of people - the poor girl at the reception didn't know anything about the town to help us out for a good breakfast place but that isn't her fault as she could have gotten a better briefing
