The staff were gentle and professional, the place is amazing!
The room is very very small

The historical building was once a home to an Ambassador so it does feel more like going into someone’s home. Even the cheapest room is full of pictures and very well furnished. It’s less than eight minutes to the Cathedral de la Immaculada Concepción and opposite to Paccarri chocolate cafe. The restaurant faces the courtyard filled with flowers and trees, perfect start to the morning. The concierge helped me to arrange a private tour of Ingapirca, a must see for Inca enthusiasts.
I would have liked a little in the room, but you can get hot water by calling reception.

El maravilloso jardín, las cómodas habitaciones y las Antiguedades del
Hotel. Parecía que nos trasladábamos dos siglos atrás
Me pareció pequeña el area para el desayuno

The breakfast could be better, not lot a variety and slow service.

This hotel is a paradise within the city. It has lush greenery as you enter this magical hotel. The staff was beyond helpful, especially to make sure we had a wonderful anniversary. Veronica was amazing that makes arrangements and communication I highly recommend.

Fantastic location and beautiful hotel.
When opening the bedroom window there was a lot of noise from other guests walking or sitting in the internal courtyard as well as the music being played by the hotel.

everything was great, the food, the room, amenities, coffee at the room.
bed sheets had some stains and looked a bit old. the bathroom’s skylight was dirty too.

location
No desk in the room, only one electrical outlet to charge phones etc. Room was really noisy because it opens on a courtyard where everyone talks. And the morning everyone staying wanted breakfast at 7am they didn’t have a buffet like they had on other days. So even though the hotel had booked taxis for all the groups, we didn’t get breakfast.

Stunning architecture, wonderful location, fabulous staff, quiet for major city centre. Beautiful throughout.
Cold, cold, cold! Easily the coldest hotel I’ve ever stayed in having been to 78 countries across the globe. There is no heating in the room or the main areas of the hotel. The kindly staff though got us electric heaters and hot water bottles. And it’s summer! It’s also very uncomfortable to sit. The furniture is all very formal and hard. The garden furniture is all dining chair variety. The restaurant chairs are uncomfortable beyond belief and totally out of keeping with the style of the hotel. Our room was not very clean. On arrival there was a used tissue on the table. The rug hasn’t seen a vacuum cleaner in many a long year. One night our towels were changed for one dirtier than we had used. All this being said we had a great time and I repeat the staff were exceptional. They just need a little more thought about guest comfort.

Nice historic property in centre of town. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. Lovely garden
The food- weekend buffet breakfast not particularly fresh. Cooked to order during the working week arrived cold. Entire public space was cold- had to wear outdoor clothes while enjoying a drink inside

The room we got on the first night was small and at the very end of the garden. We asked for another room and we’re given a beautiful room with a spacious living room in the main building.
Breakfast was very good and service was excellent. Front desk staff were very attentive.
The hotel is lovely, gracious, with an old world charm. It is very well maintained; gardens are beautiful and it is located very centrally. I would definitely recommend this historic hotel to anyone visiting Cuenca.

the bed was a bit small! I’m 6.2’ so it was quite difficult to fit in!

The location, room, breakfast and ambient was excellent. Especially the patio which had a beautiful english garden was unforgettable. The famous French brand (L’occitane) was used for all amenities including body soap, shampoo and conditioner which was impressive. Last but not least, the staff were so friendly, fluent in english and professionally proactive.
The background music in the main restaurant at dinner was a bit loud. I suggest better not play any music to keep an authentic atmosphere.

Beautiful hotel that's in an excellent location. The staff was great and so was the breakfast. My wife and really loved the place. When we go back we'll stay there atain
I wish the room was a bit bigger but, due to the style of hotel. I can see how that's not possible.
