The Castle Hotel staff were extremely welcoming; the beer, evening meal & breakfast were excellent.

The staff were amazing and very friendly. My double room was very spacious and the bathroom was very modern and clean.

The room was lovely except for the fact that their was a drinking area right outside our window, which also meant we couldn't keep our curtains or windows open.

I arrived at the Castle Hotel on a very cold day to receive a very warm welcome and to find that I had been given a free upgrade as teh hotel was quiet. My room was warm when I entered it and had everything that I needed. It was very well decorated and the bathroom was lovely and had free shampoo, shower gel, soap and body lotion. The towels were lovely and fluffy. It was very quiet at night and I had a very good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. I had to give in my breakfast order the night before with an approximate time of when I would want it. This worked very well and I had a very good breakfast. The staff that I met were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located in Devizes and close to facilities and easy to find.

The fact that I was only staying one night but if I am in the area again I will certainly stay here and would not hesitate to recommend Castle Hotel to others.

Having thought carefully, there was nothing that could have been improved.

Very central for the town of Devizes and it looks like it has had a refurbishment as it was very modernised and comfortable.

The only thing that we were not very pleased about was as we were at the front of the property we were kept awake for quite a while as quarry lorries were passing one after another until about midnight. We had the secondary double glazing shut but still heard all the traffic. I suppose being on a main road you would hear traffic but I just wanted to mention this. However everything else was very good.

The staff were really friendly. The room was very clean, and breakfast was really nice.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, so did cause us to have a very restless night's sleep.

I bought this stay at the hotel as a last-minute birthday present for a friend who hadn't been able to find accommodation in the area for an event she was going to. She was incredibly happy with the stay and said it was clean, spacious and staff provided excellent service. I was a bit apprehensive as it was literally the only room left in Devizes, so thrilled to discover that it was a good choice!

It had the atmosphere of a place that has more identity than the usual Travelodge type hotel. The breakfasts were excellent and really good value for money and it was easy to tweak the order during my stay. Beds were comfortable, which was fantastic, so even though the room was fairly basic, it had what I needed and I had a good night's sleep for two nights and didn't wake up with a complaining back in the morning, which was miraculous! Staff were friendly and courteous.

The only complaint was the room smelt of stale fried food when I got there. My guess it the smell travelled from the kitchens. I grew accustomed to it over the course of the stay and so it didn't affect too much. Also, it would have been helpful to have a powerpoint close to the bed so I could charge my phone more conveniently. The only other minor issue was I had to park in the pay and display carpark across the road, and felt a little insecure parking there (thankfully don't have a car worth stealing!) but I did nearly forget to top up the parking the first morning.

Welcoming hosts! Spotlessly clean. Delicious English breakfast. Superb location. Large room with modern bathroom and great shower! View onto the church was amazing. Can't say enough about this little gem. I've stayed in many many hotels of this category over time, and this one tops them all. Thank you so much...I'll be back x
