Gorgeous pub/restaurant downstairs with lots of outdoor space. Close to Lichfield only a 15 min walk to the cathedral. ALL the staff were AMAZING!!!

Clean and tidy
No hot water or shower!! They should have told us ,giving us the option to go elsewhere. Instead we had to arrive get settled in room THEN find out there was no hot water or shower. They did help with getting another place but it was a serious problem and very poor management.

Except for slow service toward the end of the evening, the staff were incredibly attentive and willing to help. We were made to feel welcome and everyone was there to help/ make our stay pleasurable.

Our 4th Stay at the Wonderful The Hedgehog innkeeper
my husband and I annually stay here , traveling from Switzerland home to Staffordshire … I can honestly say “it’s like home from home!!!”
The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them, always smiling, happy and working SO hard!! including the hard working housekeeping team. our room was AMAZING.. so much space!!! comfy mattress … immaculate bedding.. flat screen tv and complimentary beverages.
we dined with family in the restaurant, perfectly placed on the plate and the palate I have to say great size portions

lovely building and very comfy bed. breakfast was wonderful!
my bathroom was nice but had a bit of a damp odour.

Staff were all attentive and approachable. Rooms well set out and comfortable.
Our room was good and quiet. Girls said they could hear people hoovering and moving furniture around early in morning.

All really good really enjoyed ourselves
It was very hot when we stayed and the room was hot which made staying in the beautiful room unbearable, there was a small fan which wasn’t very good and could only open window about 2 inches which didn’t help at all
