The hotel as such is nice enough. The room was excellent for our company, namely a couple and a teenager. We had a sort of bedroom inside the room, allowing both our teenager niece and ourselves some privacy. There was a water kettle in the room so we could make our own tea in the morning and have cereal in the room. We especially liked the quiet as well. The surroundings are gorgeous. It's probably a great place to go to for walks in spring or summer. Staff are friendly, though the information provided by different people was rather contradictory, one telling us there wasn't enough snow for skiing when we arrived there, the other claiming there was. The truth was somewhere in between: there was enough snow for absolute beginners to learn to ski. The same regarding food: one told us there was no possibility to have lunch and the other claimed there was (by that time, we had organised our own lunch each day). Dinner options were not an option for us, e.g. a kind of big salad with meat on the first night, so we ended up having to go into town all the time to get food, and even then, most restaurants only do 1 service each evening and if you don't reserve your spot beforehand, you end up at the local chippie (which is quite alright, by the way).
All in all, we were quite satisfied with the hotel as such and it's ok value for money. And the lack of food option at the hotel itself, obliged us to go into town, where we discovered pizzeria Fontana, a place where you can get the best freshly made pasta and pizza in the world! :)
Consistency in the information provided would have been nice. The people at the ski resort could have been nicer as well. There was one who, when my niece had fallen at the top of the skilift, first set out to help her and then, when she said she couldn't ski well enough yet to depart from where she had fallen, literally said "well in that case, you can sort yourself out", and just left her there. As a result, she was so discouraged she refused to go back the next day and try again. That's a shame, for a 16-year old getting her first skiing experience. If she were the one writing this review, I can tell you it would be far less flattering. She never wants to go back to that place, hotel included. The other people around the ski resort were nice enough, but let's just say none of them were exceedingly friendly...
As for the skiing, I suppose it's a good place for families, if there is enough snow everywhere. We had been told the green track had enough snow, which was also only half true. The easiest part didn't have any snow left, so my niece had to learn to ski on the most difficult one, the beginning of which was really closer to red than anything. So we ended up ploughing our way thru to the middle of the track to start from there each time.
All in all, the skiing experience was not great, in other words, and that had been the primary goal of our visit. Of course, the hotel can't help the fact that temperatures had gone up in the last days before we got there and most of the snow had dissipated, so fair enough. But they might consider encouraging the resort staff to have a slightly warmer tone to their attitude towards holiday makers. (this does not apply to the lady running the hotel reception/bar, by the way; She was always very helpful and friendly).
Great place for people with small children who want to slide down the slopes on a sledge, though!

Decent location and adequate room. Right next to a small ski lift.
Hallways smelled like weed. The staff were very difficult to deal with and trying to check out was a pain. We had to wait 2 hours to check out because they needed someone else that wasn't there to tell us we needed to pay 2 Euro. The charge was legit but wasting 2 hours was a joke.

- The beds had good matrasses
- It was very quiet in the neighborhood
- Nice view
- Free parking
- We were able to checkout 1 hour later than official checkout time
- There was no check-in needed (we received a message up front that our key was in our room), but at arrival, the owner was present, which was a bit weird
- The bathroom was outdated and not super clean; the water didn't come out the shower with enough power and the degrees could not be set
- There was no water kettle in the room, and had to pay for hot water (vending machine in the hallway)
- The towels were old and some of them were damaged
- The bar and restaurant were closed (the view of the terrace was one of the reasons to select this accommodation)
- It wasn't possible to darken the room, there were no curtains
- Too expensive

That was the warmest welcome I have ever had in a hotel. Andrea is a great and very helpful host.

The terrace with its beautiful view and very friendly staff.
We stayed 1 night and unfortunately, we are both full of rash on our bodies so probably there were some bugs in the bed/sheets.
