Good location, set back from busy roads but in the middle of the old town. Great heritage building. Massive room. Good breakfast.
7.0
Traditional looking and very well restored.
The property is great as a place to visit to admire the traditional architecture and perhaps good to dine in its restaurant, but as a hotel it lacks in many areas : the beddings are rough and not at all comfortable. The room has a stale smell perhaps due to lack of ventilation - bathroom has no extractor fan or windows. The furnitures in the rooms looks beautiful but lacks practicality. Overall, wonderful as a museum or place to visit but not up to par as a high end hotel.

The drainage of the bathroom is heading to the entrance, so it will get wet..

The rooms take you to an era of royalty, well equipped with great coffee!
The Stewart Apartment was without any phone, anytime we needed something either had to search for staff outside or go to the reception.

What a wonderful boutique apartment/hotel! It is just as the photos in booking.com show it.

The whole building is beautiful and our room was exceptional. Right in the middle of where you would like to be and the staff were all so helpful.
We enjoyed afternoon tea offered complimentary by the pool each afternoon. We also ate in the restaurant which was one of the best meals of our holiday.

Breakfast is fine, staff needs better training. Music to solemn.
Have to do something about the pigeons, it's going to ruin your hotel.

The property is gorgeous and well maintained.
The front desk staff (shout out to Ms Ayu) and Caretaker (Mr Omar) were very kind and helpful during our whole stay
Internet could have been better, esp for those who are travelling for work related / or carry work along would be disappointed.
There aren't enough conveniently located charging points.

George Town has a great many charming, colonial-era buildings like the ones which this hotel occupies. Many of them are, however, in a state of considerable decrepitude. The fact that this hotel exists on lovingly renovated premises not only offers visitors a truly unique stay, it also constitutes a contribution to maintaining and improving George Town's unique environment.
The evocative architectural elegance was a big reason we chose this hotel, but the choice was confirmed by a number of other positives. The staff were incredibly helpful and informative; the location made getting around very easy; despite being very centrally located, it was on a very quiet street; and our room was much larger and more comfortable than we had anticipated or hoped.
One of the highlights was the hotel's restaurant, Kebaya, which supplied us with a superb meal and excellent service.
Any effort to retrofit modern comforts into a building of this age will inevitably result in quirks, such as a decidedly odd (but still entirely functional) layout in the bathroom. I considered this a good trade-off for a stay in an historic building with such a lovely period vibe, but travelers whose tastes run to the sterile uniformity of a Hilton or a Hyatt may take a different view.

We stayed with our family of 2 teenagers and enjoyed exploring Penang together. My father in law was from George Town so staying in Seven Terraces brings us closer to the culture at a time.
Location is amazing right in the centre and bustle of the city yet the rooms are quiet.
The pool is a bit small not suitable for small kids.

Location was excellent. Right in the heart of the old town. Staff were very welcoming. Close to many local amenities and short walks to interesting local sights. Great to explore and have local food which is why we were there.
Have to stay that the area was quite dusty. Though to be expected with so much city traffic around and the open style atrium in the centre of the hotel. Cannot say it is a complaint - just a "didnt like"
