I never write a bad review but in this case I have to tell the truth. I travel a lot and I only stay at 4 or 5 stars hotels. THIS HOTEL IS NO WHERE NEAR 4 STAR as they advertise themselves, the room they given me had scratches all over the walls (by the sofa, by the bathroom, up on the wall near the TV) I tried to show this on my photos attached here but can’t show the full scale of the damages on the walls. The balcony was not clean and dirty/dusty. The bed wasn’t comfortable they stick together two single beds and called it double bed. The toilet seat was broken too, I took a video of it but won’t let me to attach it here. I reported all these to multiple staff members and they just said this is what it is and all our rooms are like this except from the ‘SUITE’ and you have to pay €90 extra then the next hour they said oh we are fully booked. The breakfast also were so basic! I had the worst stay ever! I never experienced anything like this from a ‘4 star’ hotel in any place I ever traveled in the world.

The property had an amazing location both to enter Pompeii and also to be able to eat a very amazing breakfast while also looking at mount Vesuvio. The rooms we basic but very good and the lobby and common areas were super nice.

We couldn’t close one of the windows but it was not a big deal.

It's not what you see in the pictures you get inside is completely messed up. The shower in the room was like a sports complex shower.

thin doors and windows. it was cold and we could hear all the noise from the restaurant next door. the restaurant had a parrot that squawked all day and night. some rooms have been renovated and others are quite dated; we got the dates rooms with no views.

The location was good and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

We were left to wait an hour and twenty minutes to enter our room, this was after receiving a message earlier from the hotel saying the room was guaranteed from 2pm. The staff dealt with many customers before us, we were last to get our room but one of the first to arrive and I can only assume this was because either a booking.com customer or nationality? We were offered a fruit juice to drink to compensate for our wait! We asked for a coffee and were told the voucher didn't cover this! The bar staff, one girl in particular was extremely rude, perhaps she was having a bad day. We asked for a glass to take to our room as there were none for drinking water. We were given a plastic tumbler. Reception staff busy chatting among themselves rather, no hello or goodbye when entering or leaving. We were on the fourth floor and it was extremely noisy in corridors and between rooms. I have stayed in many Italian hotels, Venice, the Lakes, Rome, Naples and this was the worst service we have ever received.

The hotel was a delightful change from chains. Beautiful view of Vesuvius and Pompeii from the breakfast room. Perfect location for walking to all points of interest in Pompeii.

The room was good, the breakfast was great, and the restaurant just to the left of the hotel was excellent. The location is very near the ruins. We loved our stay at Hotel del Sole

The moment we arrived we were extremely happy with the excellent location of this hotel as it was right across the street from the main archeological site in Pompeii. Upon check-in the friendly staff advised us that we had been upgraded to a superior suite for the duration of our stay. Our new room which was an incredible suite with a hot tub bath and decorated in the way a traditional villa might have been in Pompeii, with frescos on the walls and stone flooring throughout, with added statues and columns to further add to the aesthetic. Absolutely beautiful. The room was also spotlessly clean and well stocked every day of our stay. The on-site restaurant serves good food and the included breakfast was a welcome addition in the mornings. On this trip we traveled from Venice to Florence to Rome and ended with Pompeii. This was by far the best place we stayed on our holiday. We are already looking to return to this hotel in the future. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Honestly nothing.

The location of the hotel was a bonus close to good restaurants and Pompei sights. Although a little small the room was clean with a comfy bed again the bathroom was a little small the shower was very good. The view from the breakfast room was excellent as it overlooked the Pompei ruins.

The breakfast was OK but a little strange that you could only have two cups of coffee the cold buffet was good but the hot food a little poor. One day the towels were removed from the bathroom and not replaced but did give us fresh towels when reported. Unfortunately some of the staff were not very friendly. The bar attached to the hotel was fine but with very slow service. The Hotel was quite noisy at night but not a major problem as it quietened down around 11.30.
