Exceptional as always. This is 9th/ 10th visit to Avalon and it was better that expected. Decor exceptional, cleanliness exceptional, and always a warm welcoming.

The sit down breakfast was excellent. The room and facilities were immaculately clean. The coffee making facilities was cramped, however, the supply of fresh milk was most appreciated.

On arrival, we were made to feel less than welcome by virtue of the fact that we arrived later than initially indicated to the hostess. We were requested to wear booties over our shoes as the hostess did not want her WHITE carpets soiled. The rooms were incredibly small, so much so that it was difficult to open our suitcases. The lounge area was off limits due to Covid regulations, despite the fact that Covid regulations were no longer applicable. The hostesses attitude throughout our two night stay was not amiable and we were given the distinct impression that she was enduring our presence on the premises. The guesthouse is located on the main road into Inverness and is noisy as a result. It is also located opposite a graveyard, as such the neighbors were very quiet, but it was not mentioned in the write up of the property.

Val was a great host and the room was immaculately presented. Nothing was any trouble at all. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was excellent. The host, room ,breakfast were 1st class. We will definitely be using the guest house again the next time we stay in Inverness. The guest house is not far from the town centre and you can walk from the Eden Court theatre into the town along the riverside.

The deluxe room was very cosy and comfortable. I liked the breakfast, cleanliness in the room and bathroom, wi-fi connectivity and overall transport options for travelling to Loch Ness and Isle of Skye. You don't have to go to the Inverness bus station to catch the bus. Just use the Bus Stop 2 mins away from the property. You can reach the city centre, train station, and bus station in 20 minutes by walk or 6 pounds by taxi (just 3-4 mins ride).

I would 100% recommend staying at Avalon. The hosts were great and our room was outstanding - exceeded our expectations by a mile! Incredibly comfortable and everything you could ever ask for was already there, not to mention absolutely spotless! I particularly appreciated how well my dietary requirement was catered for as it can make travelling difficult at times, i'm so grateful for the amazing level if service and will definitely stay again when visiting Inverness.

They send message to ask you check in before 7 o'clock at the same check in day. Because already on the journey，you have to check your plan and speedy up. When you book it，be careful，there write down “Breakfast included”，take a picture as an evidence，because when you get there，they said you didn't pay breakfast.

The breakfast was superb especially the granola, yoghurt and berry sundae.

Delightful hosts Val and Paul who made us feel welcome and comfortable, and between them offered us an excellent cooked breakfast each morning. Our room was comfortable and well appointed and Avalon is ideally located 15-20 mins walk or 5 min drive from the centre of Inverness.

The location was very good , short walk along the river to the town . The breakfast was amazing , fantastic choice and Paul’s homemade bread was to die for . This accommodation Is exceptional and would defiantly recommend it!

There was nothing we could fault !!

Everything was spotlessly clean, room was spacious and breakfast was a break from the typical full Scottish (which isn't offered). Everything was quality and it is clear the hosts are selective about each aspect of the decor and presentation of the room and breakfast. Also as a positive, there's a fridge in the room.

Strict check-in hours which 'close' at 7pm. It was our holiday but we were on their schedule. When we checked in, the first sort of interaction was the host asking us to check our shoes and use provided booties if they are dirty because all the carpet is white. It felt a bit heavy handed and we were constantly concerned about making a mess on the carpet for the next 2 days. We still slept very well and had a hot shower and a good breakfast every day and overall, the experience was good.

The guest house is of high standard, beautifully decorated. Our hosts Val and Paul made our stay relaxed, very friendly and informative.

A short walk to the centre of town, plenty parking at the property Great for a short break on the way to the Highlands or for visiting the city of Inverness I will certainly be back soon
