I had a great time, I love the fact that the installations are on many different buildings and hights, it makes it really fun to go around. There are plenty of spaces to relax, cook, etc. The owner was really nice and flexible :) it was just a perfect spot to get organized to go to hiking around and then come rest!

best location you could ask for, nice and quiet rooms. I was in a dorm with only 1 other person
bathroom wasn’t cleaned the whole time I was there, no toilet paper for 4 days and no wifi. check in was at 2pm but I had to wait til 3pm for the room to be ready

The pool, views and mosquito nets on the beds.
Unfortunately, my friend had a lot of money stolen from our room during our one night stay in Colibri. Dollars, euros, and pesos were taken while we left the room unoccupied and went to the pool. We believe this is a staff member, and the boss has suddenly stopped responding after offering to investigate.
Other than that, the room was dirty, the bed was okay, but there was no WiFi in the room. The room was filled with flies when it could have mosquito nets. Maybe they can purchase some with the money stolen?

The sunset views over Minca from the private balcony (with one of those big net/hammock things) were amazing! Lots of bugs but manageable if you keep the curtains closed and lights off after dusk.

It's a place for a night or two. Close to town and close to Casa Loma that has a beautiful sunset.
I booked a room and on my check in they gave a different room and told a lie that the another guest had take the key, but the room was with orher people. The day after they changed me to the correct room. But the first one was not really comfortable and the bathroom was dirty.

This is a nice rustic place to stay in Minca. There are good communal areas, pool and terrace in the main building and other hammocks up the stairs by the dorms. It's a good location just down all the steps to the main street with lots of shops and restaurants. The room was fine. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have a private terrace.
The room is not air tight so there are bugs around, but you are in the jungle in the mountains so to be expected. The towels could use an upgrade. The wifi would cut out at night.

Was dirty , loud party on the property all night. No one asked them to stop.

I really enjoyed the location of this hostel. The environment was really fun and it was a great place to meet and hangout with other travelers.
Our room didn’t have any bug nets and really needed them considering there was no screens on the windows and some of the ceiling was exposed to the outdoors. We got a lot of bug bites while we were sleeping because of this. Also this hostel is very loud. We were kept up a lot of the night because of people yelling and partying.

Nice jungle view and chill out areas
Peaceful
Close to the Casa Loma sunset bar
Not the most social
No restaurant so you have to go up/down the hill every time
3.5
its a nice and silent hostel not so far away from the center. everything is still in the making so it feels a little bit like camping
sadly the shower and toilet wasn’t working. we had a nice big room but my mattress was so old that I was laying in a whole of many other people before me.
3.5
The more expensive private room has a kitchen and fridge etc.
Good location near centre of Minca- walking distance from where transport starts.
Spacious social areas.
Nice views.
There's no shared kitchen for the dorms- just a fridge and freezer but nothing to actually cook with as they advertise.
Only bathrooms in rooms so if you're in the common area- expect a big walk up the stairs.
Don't organise any tours/ activities. Has a lot of potential to be great.
Very noisy as basically sleeping outside. I had to move private rooms rooms as it was next to the reception and there's no sound insulation but they made me pay more! Not professional at all. Always late to check you in.

The stuff was super friendly and welcoming.
They have a lot of dogs and cats at the hostel which I actually like but one of the pets peed in my bed. They changed the sheets immediately but it was still kind of disgusting. For the price I paid I actually expect at least a clean bed/ room.

The staff was so freindly and warm and our room was the most cosiest whe been in, one with the naturen with sliding doors and colibris birds just outside. I little kitchen in the room.
Rough path up and down with heavy backpack. No breakfast service yet, but in village a lot of place to eat in.

Great location, but a steep hike to get there.
Nice views, no road noise.
Room was a bit worn down, it felt really old.

...
No hot water ,the tap didn't work in the bathroom, reception was right beside the wall of our bed and the reception staff screamed from 8am onwards, someone walked into our room at 2am looking for the reception and to leave a bag in our room??? No facilities in the hostel can't even buy a bottle of water or fill up a bottle

Everything was excellent. The girls at the reception were very nice. And there was no music late at night. Instead it was very quiet. Perfect for a relaxing mood~~
2.5
good location
no working wifi and no water for most of the day (not ideal if the bathroom is shared with 7 people and can’t flush the toilet or shower)
2.5
Lovely environment, good location, friendly staff, very large room.
The room wasn’t clean : there was dirt in the shower (floating when you’re showering) and our sheet haven’t been changed before our arrival (there were dirty).
The room was a little bit dark.

the staff was friendly
the room and bathroom was so dirty. there where no big layers for the night and it was really cold. everything around looked like a construction place
3.5
Very nice terraces with great views. Free water (filter). Very basic dorm but ok and with mosquito net.
No kitchen. The owner plaid very loud music in the evening so you couldn’t sit in the common area.
4.5
It was very nicely located, close to everything that is in the town, and still a nice feeling of being in the nature. Especially the common areas were awesome and the atmosphere was super chill (and smoker friendly)
it was missing a shared kitchen in my opinion, and we had a little problem with the shower

The location is really good, super close to the center but with a beautiful view
The owner is nice and helpful
There was no kitchen to cook

Not so much, it was a cheap place to sleep. But you will get better accomodations in Minca for that price.
No payment via card possible. The Pictures are way better then the real deal. The way there was not the easiest to find. A cat came in our room everytime we opened the window to get fresh air, so we had to close it. So the air was smelly and there was loud music until 1 am. We changed hostals after one night.

Staff was awesome 👍
They didn't have soap in the bathrooms and the owner just accepts cash which difficultied my check in
1.5
Location was alright, a little up the hill, but right in the middle of the jungle
The room smelled like mould which made it super disgusting. It wasn't as the photos advertised it. They wrote that the room had garden and mountain view, but it was more a hole in the ground with the view of two plants.

the views
pathway to the hostal had no light when itd evening.

Nice staff, pleasant ambience and good view
Kitchen was pretty disgusting - dirty, cluttered, no space, poor amenities, very neglected. Whole place including rooms very neglected. Shower cold and flooded and you had to walk through the shower to get to the bathroom. Needs a lot of money spent on it. Wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend.
3.5
Location and facilities were good
The hostel didn't have an electric plant and the electricity was out for the whole weekend, so we couldn't enjoy the stay at the hostel cause it rained the whole weekend too
