We absolutely loved our stay at Kallpa Wasi! Our room was so beautiful, all brick and wood with traditional Andean tapestries and fabrics. We had a cosy fire in our room in the evening, which was heaven. The best thing about Kallpa Wasi is the family who own it. They are so kind and welcoming. Staying there is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Kichwa way of life. In the evening we ate with the family. The food was absolutely delicious. For dinner we had a traditional Andean quinoa dish with vegetables. Breakfast was more pancakes than we could eat, with home made jam. I can't recommend this place enough!

The only downside was that Kallpa Wasi was a bit hard to find, the taxi driver didn't know it, but we found it in the end! The upside is that the location is quiet and peaceful!

I felt at home with a very comfortable bed, a nice fire, and a beautiful breakfast. We talked with the matron of the property while she taught her granddaughter how to make pancakes. It’s best to have a little Spanish/Kichwa if you want to have the best experience here.

The family is great! The meals are traditional and very delicious. The vistas are perfect.

To find the place is a little bit difficult without the use of Google Maps. There could be some mosquitoes during the night.

Our hostess was lovely and taught us lots about the Quechua way of life when we helped her on the farm. She cooked us lovely meals. We were a 20minute walk from town through a lovely community. The room was great.
