Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent room and facilities, spotlessly clean. The food was exceptional; I'm coeliac and this was not an issue at all. Thank you.

Room was great Breakfast was super Fan in the room was dusty but I was able to sort it.

As soon as we arrived at Northgate House we were made to feel very welcome and this continued throughout our stay. The hotel was very clean and peaceful and in a beautiful location.

We love Northgate House, it is so peaceful and it really recharges the old batteries. The rooms are beautiful in a simple way and offers everything you could want or need, the staff in the hotel are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site which is very good and offers a good choice of menu including vegetarian options, the food is of high quality and presented very well, breakfast is also available and is very tasty.In short for us it is a hotel that offers everything and we love it so much we will be visiting twice next year and we are looking forward to it.

There was plenty of choice. The cooked breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The location was brilliant.

We didn’t find a sitting room. However we found six beautifully comfortable armchairs - 2 in reception, 2 outside the bar and 2 at the top of the stairs, but with people passing by it wasn’t very quiet. We would suggest either the signage to the hotel is improved or perhaps the fact that the hotel is in the Abbey grounds is mentioned in your advertising.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, a very pleasant stay.

Very clean, beautifully positioned next to abbey and close to the moors. Woodland walk next to the River Dart close by. Great buffet breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. We will happily return as there is so much to explore nearby.

The hospitality was amazing. We felt welcomed and cared for. The setting is stunning, facilities fantastic 👏 Outstanding feeling of peacefulness and opportunity to rest. Breakfast was amazing and our daughter said the BEST vegetarian sausages she has ever tried.

The bed squeaked. And the room was hit but these things by far outweighed by how stunning the venue was. Having to leave!

Only one chair in our room. The bar was terrible, understocked, no draft Guiness, lemonade, coke etc. Gantry/spirit choice was very poor. Staff were very good. Not there fault. No Jack Daniels. 2 draft pumps: cider and Devon lager. Needs a total revamp.

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were scrupulously clean. Good size room - lots of storage - and lovely bathroom. Peaceful location, ideal for adults and very close to the Abbey. Breakfast was amazingly good as was the evening meal in the restaurant. Perfect few days away.

First, the staff were all friendly and welcoming making it a joy to stay. We had a superior room which provided a very good sitting area. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast and evening meals were also very good. The location is well positioned for getting to all the main coastal locations in under an hour.

Such a lovely place! We loved our room, especially the wet room. the food was delicious. The staff were outstanding in their friendliness and care. The grounds and the opportunity to visit the Abbey were such a wonderful bonus. the food was delicious too.
