To get to the city you have to join traffic directly onto the highway. We had to ask for the pool to be cleaned as there was a layer of dirt at the bottom. There was broken glass on the floor of the kitchen and terrace.

Philippe and Beatrice were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The pool was clear and inviting and the room was comfortable and private. a large comfortable bed to sink into after big days touring. Breakfast was home made delicious delicacies served outdoors in the sun . A lovely touch.

warmer bed coverings would be appreciated as the temps dropped this week - also a desk amd chair would be useful.

It is a beautiful place with gracious and interesting hosts who are willing to offer wonderful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. It was one of the highlights of our trip to France. If I return to France, it is surely a place I would revisit. One suggestion: rent a car to get between Champagne Chastel and town as taking taxis adds up quickly.

Traveling with a small baby we thought it was going to be complicated. Nevertheless, the facilities, the quiet, beautiful setting of the gite made our trip truly enjoyable and relaxing. Beatrice and Philippe were lovely hosts, super helpful and generous. Definitely an address to keep in mind
