Very clean (like cleanest I've stayed in for a while). Great location ... I loved the old school vibe and I have to mention towels that felt line dried ! Delicious

The location was great and owner was really nice to deal with.

The rooms need updating badly and the linens were kinda gross looking and didn't make us feel comfortable at all. We had a blanket in the car we put over the bed as we didn't think the blanket looked clean and didn't trust the rest of the bedding from that first look. There also was someone else's deodorant under the bed which added to the cleanliness worry.

The view from the room was pretty good. And it’s only a small walk to bars/restaurants.

Rooms are very outdated and small.

When we arrived a male staff member looked my partner up and down and told us just because we have a booking doesn’t mean we have a room, just judging him on his appearance because he has tattoos. This was extremely disappointing as we just wanted a little couple getaway away from our child. he ended up giving us the room after I said my partner is fine but it left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and me and my partner were not happy. Don’t judge a book by its cover as we just wanted to watch movies and chill.

The toilet

Very comfortable bed. Situated just across the road from a Beautiful Harbour. It's close by to the railway line, which suits me as I love watching trains. Also has Covered parking, which is excellent

Noisey traffic all hours of the night. Not the Motel's fault.

Location wasn’t too bad but every time a train went passed the room rattled. Fridge was turned off, obviously to defrost, so there was water on the floor. No heating, just a small fan. One bath towel had bleach stains and one had dry white paint on it. No verandah on top floors so every time we opened the door then rain came in. Seps leading up to top floor were slippery and in the rain. Could hear everything the neighbours did. No soap for shower. Temporary office. Had our room double booked and was told that we were lucky we got there first so we got it for the night. $145/night for what???

Clean basic but very tired facilities. A bit depressing really. Smoker nxt door kept standing outside my open window. You get what you pay for I guess. What was impressive & excellent was the man in charge who very promptly organised a courier to return to Auckland my left behind handbag which I had left in a cupboard.
