The villa was lovely, clean and very well equipped. The pool was great, the perfect size and layout for the kids. A short walk/jog to the lake with a lovely path around it once there. The bikes are a good extra, it’s easily cyclable to Sanguinet for breakfast from a patisserie. Easily driveable to all the surrounding areas, including Bordeaux, Arcachon, Biscarrosse etc. Secure parking with the gated driveway.

No air conditioning, though the shutters do keep out a lot of the heat. There were some language barriers, though that was more my fault for my very, very rusty French! There was a large cash damages deposit needed, having an option to pay this as an electronic payment to a 3rd party would be easier. Not very childproof but it was easy enough to move breakables out of the way and teach the kids not to touch certain things or go near the pool.

We loved the clean pool and the very high standard of the house generally. It was great to have someone meet us and show us around the property. We especially loved having two bikes at our disposal.

We would have preferred a few more larger towels and would have preferred to be closer to the town but these things didn't adversely affect our stay greatly.
