Great location and spotless cleanliness, a good quality apartment just a short walk away from the beach and the old town as well.

The bathroom would need improvement as it is a little too small. The apartment is available to book for 5 pax, but I would rather recommend it for 2 adults and 2 children as it felt too cramped with 5 adults.

We liked many features of the apartment, it was tall and airy, typical for the area, the location was very good - lively but not excessively noisy, with useful local shops nearby and a manageable walk to the old town, the main shopping area and bar/restaurant area. We were also grateful to Lucia for waiting until 10.30pm to let us in, following long delays at passport control.

Unfortunately, several features of the apartment let it down. The pillows were so uncomfortable that I resorted to using a cushion instead, the cooker hood had no instructions and we couldn't get it to work, the waste bins were small and there was no information on what to do when they filled up, it took some time to get the aircon working since the batteries were flat in two of the remote controls, the coffee maker referred to in the description would not work on the induction hob. Especially annoying was the lack of a corkscrew, given that all Italian wines have corks, we had to search around to buy one.

Good location, 2 short blocks from the seafront promenade for a stroll into the old town and city centre. Handy for bus stops including the Number 2 to rail stations (return stop on seafront). Nice cafe on the corner and supermarket nearby. Generally quiet despite being on the first floor of a residential building (with lift) overlooking the street. (Music from the restaurant downstairs could be a bit loud but not really an issue for us.) The bedroom, with a large comfortable double and a single, was spacious (too big by comparison to the living area!) with enough storage. Entry was at the agreed time, with staff member (Rosita) friendly and efficient.

First impression was that the apartment was smaller than expected: the living/kitchen/bathroom area was cramped (though we made do). The couch was a sofabed (not usable as such given the small space?), its cover a bit tired, seating too soft and, directly facing the bathroom, not ideal for privacy. The small TV was placed at right angles to it! The double bed base was a bit tatty. The plumbing was odd! It was particularly noisy if next door (or upstairs?) were running water, especially their washing machine. The shower was awful (new rose would be an improvement). Suspect the noisy WC was not connected to mains? The few kitchen cupboards had inadequate space for food storage (and we were there for a week) and already full of others' leftover tea, coffee, condiments etc. of indeterminate age and usefulness. The clothes drying rack was stored outside on the street-side balcony and had to be thoroughly washed before use. Overall, not the home from home we expected.

Good location. Supermarket is nearby, nice cafe and bakery at the corner.

Minor thing- but no coffee!

The apartment looks nice and the location is fairly good, around 15-20 minutes walk to the city center, and in the other direction you can reach the Pane o Pomodoro beach in around 15 minutes as well. It is on a nice street with some shops, coffee places and so on. The place was clean, we had all the essential things we needed (towels, hair dryer, minumum kitchen utensils, washing machine which we didn't need, even some sun lotion and a beach ball) and the place really looks nicer in reality than in those really old and weird photos, I highly would recomend the host to update the photos. Also I knew from the reviews that there are actually two apartments under the same booking/name, so I added photos of the one that we stayed in (unfortunatelly I only took them after we packed our things, thus explaining the messy beds)

The place is quite small, but for 3 people and 4 days it was just enough. The bathroom is a little weird and the toilet makes some noises, the shower head barely works properly, definitly needs to be replaced...but the worst thing was the mattress from the big bed. It was really bad, like it had a whole in the middle towards which you would just sink in, and it caused us some bad nights and back hurting... The small bed and the couch were ok. If you stay for a short time, maybe you can get over these things, but wouldn't recommend for a longer period. Also being close to a rather busy street and having old windows meant a lot of noises in the early morning, around 6am we would wake up from people screaming or from the big cars supplying the shops. We knew it had nothing to do with the apartments itself but it's also something that bothered us.

simply horrible, overpaid and overrated place. I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. let's see: - not clean at all (dust everywhere). kitchen ustensils were all messy-> had to wash them twice before using. - extremely scruge, stingy host: there wasn't even soap in bathroom. the host left like 3-4 packs of shampoo/hair conditioner like liquid and that's it. additionally; check their pricing: if you come late for checkin they'll charge you. we arrived 4 hours early; even though they were at home + the flat was empty, they let us wonder outside. not considerate at all. - terrible bed; still suffering from the back pain. I believe the matrass is as old as the host lady; like 60+ years. I was sinking in it. - description says apartment with balcony; well, if you can step out to the balcony thanks to all the mess and the airconditioning unit they put outside; you can go out and take a breath. - shower head is not functioning and it was damaged. they even didn't know till we told them . - walls are full of mess + dead mosquitos. (this is the only thing that is acceptable I guess. ) - very small apartments: 1 bed for 2, 1 bed for 1, 1 sofa. thing accordingly. - bathroom fan was full of dust; but i'm pretty sure this thing haven't been cleaned for years.

helpful host, you have everything you need even more
