Le Supashak est une version moderne de la célèbre cabane australienne. Conçu pour tirer parti de la réserve côtière adjacente à la maison, les clients peuvent s'attendre à voir des wallabies, des kangourous, des opossums et parfois des échidna ou goanna.

A well located property with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and a great outlook to the bush, good amenities and modern stove etc. On the day we arrived, there were lots of mosquitoes and small flies but no insect spray, so we would advise future guests to be certain to bring this. (There was repellent but this wasn’t what we needed). Our only other problem was all the non-stick cookware, which was way beyond its use by date and too deteriorated to use. These were just small things however, and we would definitely recommend this accommodation.

A great place to stay. Stick up with groceries etc before coming to the island. Be prepared for long driving distances on Kangaroo Island. But beautiful location.

This is a beautifully designed house in a great location near the beach, away from it all. Loved the endless wildlife visits. Liked the little details such as the custom visitor's book. Thanks for a wonderful few days. Highly recommended.

kids enjoy feeding wallabies every day. This house does not have a cool outlooking but very modern inside with all we need. And the fireplace is quite helpful in the cold rainy day.

The Supershak is a very comfortable and well thought out holiday home in the most perfect location. Our family consists of children aged 6-17years and they all loved the place. Highlights of course were the wide open planning living looking onto the wildlife, comfy beds, the coffee machine, the honesty shop across the road, location close to the beach, 1km to the local store, 3kms to the jetty and close to Sahara dunes, Harriet river and Flinders Chase NP. We had the most aamzing family holiday. We will be back!

We absolutely loved this spot as our home base on KI. Perfect amount of space for everyone to be able to have a little quiet personal space after our days of adventure. Well appointed and comfortable. Amazing windows and light which allows you to enjoy the show of the wallabies outside. My kids (and who am I kidding...I) enjoyed feeding them and watching their antics throughout our stay. Just a short walk to a gorgeous beach at Vivonne Bay. Catherine was wonderful in her responses and getting back to us quickly with any questions we had. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

The Supa Shak was in a fabulous position on Kangaroo Island. Walking distance to the beach. A very useable house layout for our family with good indoor and outdoor spaces.
We had one very very hot day and the airconditioner was totally ineffectual. With small children in the house this was a problem and sadly we had no response from the owner to our email on this matter. Loved the wildlife around the house everyday and the little "shop" across the road

A quiet relaxing spot in a beautifully designed beach house. The Supashak was very clean and well equipped with everything you could want. We would have been happy to stay for weeks and hope to come back one day.

The Shak was a lovely and very cosy place to stay. The amenities inside were excellent. We were all enjoyed staying there and it had an appealing inside/outside quality to it. It’s a great spot to stay and for exploring that part of KI. Our host generously allowed us to arrive a bit early which we really appreciated.

Great setup for family but would be equally as good for romantic trip away. Lots of wildlife on your back door. Close to the beach. Amazing little town, great cafe nearby. Would definitely come back.

Great Accommodation, Great Location
Everything provided was great, down to the wood fire and firewood, bathrooms, kitchen, Foxtel, split system and the wallabies that surround the accommodation nearly all day. Was a great stay and would stay there again, very well supplied for.

Thoughtful architectural design
Loved the wallabies, the setting, the picture frame windows. A place where you feel the weight of the world lift. Fantastic location. Beautiful beach. Combustion heater, wood provided, who needs a tv? There is one in case you do. All appliances for preparing the local produce for dinner. Quiet, no city hum, friendly neighbour.

Relaxing beachside holiday
A very relaxing beachside holiday. Loved the house and the location - and the visiting wallabies! A great base to explore Kangaroo Island. Our holiday was rescheduled twice, first because of the bushfires last summer and then because of COVID border closures. Finally made it on our 3rd attempt and it was well worth it. Catherine was great to deal with and very flexible about the need to change plans multiple times. Would highly recommend.

Amazing gem
My husband & I wanted a quick getaway in our own backyard when we found this listing on Stayz. Upon arrival we were plesantly surprised with the shack, how clean and cozy it was. Unfortunately during our first afternoon during our stay we were informed my mother in law had been diagnosed with cancer, during thhis time 6 kangaroos (one with a joey) and 5 wallabies were surrounding the cabin for an afternoon munch. Was amazing to see and brightened our spirits. Many thanks for a memorable stay - we will be back with our family when we recieve the diagnosis she is cancer free :)

Perfect Spot
Amazing little shack in a great spot. Walking distance to the beach, close to Seal Bay, only an hour from Flinders Chase, lots of wildlife... perfect little spot to showcase some Australiana for my Canadian family

Perfect south coast KI break
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this innotively designed, well equipped and comfortable retreat in a quiet coastal scrub setting. We were with our 8 year old grandson who loved his "private cinema" room, and his introduction to wood chopping and slow combustion stoves! That of course was on top of enjoying the local wild life and all the great attractions of the south coast.

Great location, wallabies visiting regularly to enjoy through huge picture windows, contemporary fit out and build, great for family holiday, quiet and secluded yet not remote, short walk to gorgeous Vivonne Bay beach.

The wallabies are the star of the show at Supa Shak
This is a great modern take on the 70's beach shak. Nestled into the bush the shak is a 5 min walk to the beach. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is probably time to update the furnishings but it didn't detract from the experience and hey it is a "shak" after all.
Vivonne Bay is a lovely spot and a good base from which to explore all the south coast has to offer. A burger at the general store is a must!
Plan ahead and pick up supplies in Kingscote as there is little on offer close by.

Perfect Getaway
Property is as described by the hosts.
Beautiful location. Great layout, huge windows for enjoying the wildlife. Property has everything you need. Very comfortable stay, enjoyed by the whole family (mum, dad 2 kids 11 & 14). We would stay here again. We stayed in winter and the fire was perfect for cozy evenings.

Nice place to stay
Had a great 3 nights here with the wallabies and the close proximity to the beach. Make sure you go to the Raptor Domaine nearby. Great place.
