The warm welcome and the courteous behaviour of the host and the staff made our stay comfortable and memorable. The host and the staff had gone out of their way to make us feel home with the constant smiles on their faces and kindness. I was travelling with my mother who is a senior citizen and they took care of her as their own mother by providing her hot water bag to beat the cold weather and they took every measure to ensure our comfort. The homely food they provided was like a cherry on the cake. A big thanks to the entire team of the Homestay for their loving kindness.

Location of the property is very good and very close to all prime attractions of Ghum area. Property owner Mr. Rinchen Lama is a very nice and caring person and tries to take best care of his guests. But the other female members were little indifferent and not so welcoming.
We did not like the room which was below the ground level and steep stairs without railings. For aged people and persons having knee joint issue will definitely have problem. The WiFi system never worked and no effort was made to rectify the same. The cost of food (lunch and dinner) is not worth as the quantity of vegetables, curry, etc. served is very less for a normal eater.

I like everything here 😌. Comfortable staying, all times hot water from geyser, tasty and hygienic food 😋 started from breakfast, then lunch as well as dinner. All family members are very friendly and helpful.
I like everything, nothing I disliked about this homestay. I am saying with honesty that people who come to this homestay once will love this definitely.

If you want to have a homely environment including food, stay, hygiene, parking and friendliness,this is the right place for a vacation. Everything is great about this place. I have enjoyed it so much. My daughter loved this place. What more can you ask for when your kids loved the place and you have a great vacation at the end. The entire family is the host and specially Sir, the owner is very nice. Thank you very much for your hospitality. Will recommend everyone to definitely experience the stay in Tharbaling Homestay.....

I have visited many cities of India.. but the kind of fresh, delicious and hygienic food,

most well behaved staff..
I got at Tharbaling homestay in Darjeeling,

Loved the hospitality by Mr Lama and family! The rooms were spacious and clean! View from our room was lovely ! We opted to dine in at the homestay for both nights and the food was delicious , we were served local delicacies which we savoured! My parents are elderly and could not climb down to the dining area so he even sent dinner and breakfast to their rooms. Since it was really cold during December Mr.Lama arranged for a heater in the living area for us which was a sweet gesture, he provided hot water bags at night since we were not used to such cold weather. He surprised us with hot chicken soup when we returned from a tiring tour of Darjeeling! That was very considerate! He even accompanied us for a morning stroll and showed us places that we could trek. The homestay also has a barbecue facility, it was too cold for us to avail it but we saw other guests make the best use of it! This homestay is absolute value for money and will recommend it ! The location is 15 mins by car from the main mall road but there are local taxis that you can hop into right at the doorstep of the house .
