Great beach facilities and beautiful area to relax and recharge
It is set away from most other things on the island. Once you’re there there is nowhere else.

Location and view of the bay. Beach really nice. Bedroom and bathroom are ok.
We didn't like the experience but the main manager was really helpful and kind, thanks to him for helping moving us to Banyan Tree :)
Quite disappointed by the noisy welcome hall, with sound echoing while there's the bar and restaurant around.
Room has also no rug and no deco on walls, feels blunt.

The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable. We were given a free upgrade, thanks to Cassia staff. The swimming pool was beautiful and clean. The apartment was right in front of the lovely beach.
The resort could provide bins for recycling. It should also provide free shuttle to local markets/ shopping area etc.

Staffs very friendly. Room 1306 well maintained n clean.
food spread for breakfast could be improved to have more variety like more of the local dishes.

miscommunication on some of the check out schedule :) but was resolved anyways...

The room was pretty spacious, well laid out and very clean and with a well equipped kitchen.
Bed was very comfy.
Staff were super friendly and very helpful.
The location is stunning, beautiful clean beach and amazing views.
Breakfast was nice, decent coffee and a wide selection of foods, all good.
Unfortunately there were a few things that were pretty hard to deal with at the hotel which ultimately put a bit of a downer on the whole experience.
First off when we arrived to check in we realised that the room represented online when we made the booking was not the room we were getting, instead of a sea view it would be a view to the access road to the hotel. So we upgraded to a room with a sea view agreeing to the upgrade cost, however there was some miscommunication and when I asked if the SGD120 was the total upgrade cost and the response was “yes” I was pretty surprised to find out that was a per night cost when checking out.
Secondly, the cost of food and drinks at the resort and neighbouring hotels / restaurants is extremely high, I’ve travelled pretty extensively around Asia and these were the highest prices I’ve encountered, I’d have no issue with this if the cost was warranted, but SGD53 for a bottle of water, small can of beer and one cocktail is excessive and offers no extra value, the prices are even less justifiable when you find out the same drinks (minus the unavailable cocktail) are cheaper from the bar inside, a 12 meter walk away, it unfortunately feels like you are being taken advantage of, especially as the seclusion of the resort means you have no real alternatives available.
It’s worth mentioning the size of the pool is really small when considering the amount of guests, I think 8 sun beds in total around one pool, there was never a free spot which is understandable when there are families with children that want to play, I imagine it’s not always an issue because you’re right on the beach but if there’s a jelly fish warning, as there was, the lack of adequate facilities becomes very obvious, especially when the pool area is then used for pre booked activities later in the day.

Cassia is the kind of beach hotel suitable for long period stay. The sun, the sand, the sea, the forest, the activities, the comfort, the hospitality, name it they have it.
Have to say the cleanliness level is truly exceptional for a hotel next to a windy beach. e.g. the house keeping team can be seen almost everywhere maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. There are also sufficient water points for guests to wash away sand on our feet after a walk at the beautiful white sand beach.
Cassia has quite a number of entertainment under one roof. Outdoor, there is jet ski, ATV, clear blue sea for swim, windy forest walk, fitness corner. Indoor, there is a swimming pool facing the sea, table tennis. If just wanna chill, they have a lot, and I mean a coast line of open air and shelter beach sofas and benches for lean back and relax. Their late afternoon beach side wine/beer/cocktail bar is the best! Their music selection is up to date, drinks and finger food are tasty too.
We wanted to take a break from the hype during one of the evening, so we ordered pizza and brought back to the hotel room. It is a rare blessing to have an in-room kitchen. We could re-heat our pizza on the stove with a frying pan and enjoy a cheesy bite. We wanted some small bites and was glad we could get nuggets from Market 23 and fry at our own leisure in the room.
Cassia has also taken care of the little things for their guest. E.g. We didn't have to worry about power adaptors, their wall plugs had every version. Even scandals and insect repellent were provided. Excellent hospitality.
Have to say, it was a superb beach experience, and wish we had stayed longer.
Cassia's western food menu is very comprehensive and delicious! Would be great if the dining menu had pictures for the local Indonesian delights. The Indonesian chilli at breakfast is very authentic, hope the Asian dishes can be more warm.
Market 23 had great selections of beer, and will be even better if there are more fresh meat and seafood selections for in-room cooking.

It was lovely to walk out your front patio and be near to the beach the accommodation was spacious and the cocktails and dinner in the late afternoon were the best.
You also had the options to eat at the other hotels which gave us a variation of trying different foods
The breakfast - unfortunately everything was cold that was cooked and just sitting on the counter. The birds where having a good time eating at the pancakes and then just flying away, not necessarily been changed if no one saw, so not very healthy for anyone to consume. Other than that the other food was ok.

Hotel: Hotel was beautiful and I simply loved the spacious room with seaview.
The room was very clean and had a well equipped kitchenette.
Breakfast: Generally okay & acceptable, could be better
Beach: Lovely & beautiful beach which was kept very clean
Staff: Fendi, Benny and most staff were very friendly and polite. They will always had a big smile when they meet the guests. Wonderful great staff.
Dinner: International Seafood Buffet was disappointing as seafood served was not the freshest one could have. Given the steep price yet seafood was not fresh at all (while crayfish was okay, sotong was grilled till very tough, prawns and crabs were mushy. I was looking for salmon or at least smoked salmon but found none at all.

The sea view is amazing
Everything was at our doorstep - - booking of tours, transportation etc.
Food was amazing! True and authentic indonesian food was delicious!
Having a 24/7 mini mart was good too, satiate our hunger anytime we are hungry
Staff were amazing, the service was super, will recommend and come again!
The room kitchen had all that we need if we wanted to cook indoots too
Unfortunately the weather prevent us from doing many things :(
Location is far from city center shopping mall so a bit inconvenient to want to do shopping and buy local keropok, snacks etc.
Options are limited in the 24/7 mart

It’s new and staff service standards are high. access to a private and clean beach is definitely a key highlight
not much F&B choices. even when trying to source for internal eating options, places are sold out so it might be exasperating for travelling families

I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. The bedroom is a little small but beds were comfortable. Living room has ample of space.
Limited F&B outlets. Got a little sick of the food, however, you have the option to go to Banyan Tree's F&B outlets to dine. The hotel will arrange a buggy to pick you up or you can walk along the beach to get there.

The breakfast is about same daily except a few change in variety. Overall the croissants, french pastries, french toast , porridge, potatoes , sunny side up, juices and coffee are fantastic. Amenities are available but at a price.
There are no coach serving all the resorts as mentioned in some reviews.
Commuting to other parts of island is via taxi which the hotel coordinates for clients.
Cassia is near Angsana , Banyan tree. So the staff can ferry us in golf buggy to have spa at Banyan Tree and dinner.
Lagoi is undergoing some renovation and only the restaurants are open for business.
I find that the milk has a mild metalic taste. Going to city is a lot of hassle and far. Must be prepared because ATM is not easily available. Even if have and it is not International , tourist can't access.

- Given the price, the view and location were amazing and super value-for-money.
- Has its own private beach where you can do many activities or stargaze.
- Rooms were spacious and could accommodate plenty to hang out.
- Fridge was cold (a major problem in some hotels) and could house many cans of beer.
- Location was quite near other popular attractions (Lagoi Safari, Mangrove tour) and only one hour from the city where food and other stuff were cheaper.
- Free breakfast was a big plus to prepare for a long day out.
- Sliding doors can be quite stiff. Ended up cutting myself accidentally while closing the bathroom door.
- The main door was quite heavy for some rooms. Some of us had to lean against it to open the door properly.
- Housekeeping is done on a fixed schedule instead of daily. However, you can request for additional necessities whenever, and they do come in to give two bottles of water daily.
- As for all resorts/hotels, food can get quite expensive (a dish + drink cost around $20+ SGD post-tax.

I would like to thank one of the staff by the name of Nasrun who has helped me before I even checked in to the hotel and all the way till I've checked out. His guidance has really helped me alot as a first timer to Bintan and the Tour De Bintan event. Would definitely would like to recognize his service & efforts for going extra mile. Excellent!
