Handy to towns in area, beautiful views from terrace, good free parking. Nicely decorated.

The bed and pillows were very hard, did not sleep too well. Shower and basin could have been cleaned a little better.

Firstly, the owner didn't reply us despite us asking a few questions over booking.com message. We were quite worried about checking in because we didn't get any instructions at all. When we arrived at around 2:50. Nobody was home (it is an apartment above the owner house, with a separate door to go into the apartment from outside.) There is obviously no lift and you have to climb flights of stairs to go to the door and once you open the door, more stairs to go into your apartment. The owner doesn't really speak much English, we had to communicate using Google translate most of the time. Anyway, at 3pm sharp the owner came back riding a bicycle and gave us the key and check in for us. Now, the house is very self sufficient, we were there for 2 days and it was great. It has nearly everything you need. Gas stove, cooking utensils, cutleries, hair dryer and even a washing machine that you can use for free. It also has a balcony with a pretty good view. The apartment is really clean, you can tell the owner put in a lot of effort in cleaning and maintaining this one bedroom apartment. The location is good, nearly all the hot spot for Tuscany photography places are around 10-30 minutes drive from here, so it's actually situated in the centre of all these hotspots. Fans were provided despite not having AC. In terms of parking, it's street parking. There are quite s number of parking in front of the house but you might not get one of they are fully occupied by other residents. Overall it is a great place to stay, I will definitely come back again in autumn or spring. But not summer.

The only downside is it doesn't have air conditioner. If you were there during cooler day then it is fine. But we were pretty unlucky as the 2 days we were there there was a heatwave that lasted 2 days LOL. It was 38 and 40 degree Celsius. The heat was pretty unbearable for us.

The view! The rooftop terrace has an incredible view and has plenty of seating / dining space. Location is great if you want peace. It’s close enough to be easily walkable to the sights and necessities but far enough to get away from it a little. Neighborhood feel. Located on the Via Francigena route, at least the cycling version. kitchen is great and has everything you need to cook dinner - you’re on your own for all ingredients though so don’t forget some olive oil and other basics at the store. If the lack of AC scares you, I stayed during a heat wave and nighttime with the windows open was perfect.

Personally, no strong dislikes! There are a few stairs, so if stairs bother you, best you know about them beforehand. It’s a walk away from the stuff you want to see and do - not a long walk but a walk. Just know what you’re getting yourself into.
