Steve & Mel were fabulous hosts who have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Room was inviting and it was quiet throughout the night.

Key was left in a convenient place on arrival. Bedroom was a good size with a double bed and full single bed. Large clean bathroom with good sized shower. Beds were comfortable with extra pillows or covers if needed. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice.

Parking for £3 per day quoted but no instruction as to where on arrival. Room booked for 3 but only 2 sets of towels, cups, glasses this was rectified when requested. Full english breakfast well cooked but I would have liked to be asked how I would prefer eggs cooked, what kind of toast etc. These are small things and did not spoil our visit.

Friendly helpful owners. Good breakfast. Pleasant shower room which I did not have to share. If the next door room was occupied I would have had to share, so it was not actually en suite.

Mel and Steve are wonderful hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. They are very welcoming and you are made to feel very comfortable. Breakfast is exceptionally good! The Cornerhouse is in a great location.. Very clean and spacious with a lovely en-suite. Would definitely make a return visit. Thank you, Mel and Steve.

Superb location everything in the town was walking distance, we were in Bideford for a party at the football ground which was literally a minute walk away Steve & Mel were very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble, we really enjoyed the cooked breakfast , although there were plenty of other options , the room was great, the en-suite looked new and the shower was enormous

Steve and Mel were very kind and helpful. Our car had broken down and they went out of their way to help us settle in and helped us out with our broken car.

The location was ideal. Really central to Bideford. We had a wonderful warm welcome from Steve and Mel. Our hosts were fun, so helpful and accomodating especailly as we had travelled with our bikes and needed to store them overnight. Five star service in a traditional B&B. Easy access to the Tarka Trail. Thank you so much.

The garden was very colourful and well kept. The room and the ensuite was bright and spacious. Everywhere was spotless and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming

Friendly small bed and breakfast

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean and decorated nicely. Mel and Steve were so welcoming, friendly and would help where they could. We will stay again.

Parking. We arrived whilst a football match was going on which made it more difficult as the spaces outside the B&B were full. We managed to park in these spaces after that. Its not that bad but might be difficult if it’s really busy.

Bed is only standard double bed. Will be very small if two people sleep on it. No car park! Have to pay on off street car park.

The room was very pretty, it had a great complimentary tray of goodies, tea/coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits. Bed very comfortable. Steve cooks a brilliant breakfast, cereal was offered as well.

I didn't appreciate being disturbed after 9pm by a drunk landlord.

Lovely local family atmosphere, very accommodating and everything in my room I needed and very clean and tidy. Lovely modern shower room and all the facilities I needed. At a very respectable cost. And a lovely full English in the morning.

I didnt like the fact I was only there for 1 night.

Friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The banter was great and the breakfast was great. I have tried the hosts mushroom recipe since and they were brilliant.

We liked everything about the corner house guesthouse. Right from the start we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room which comfortably met all our needs. Cosy and fresh, clean and spacious. Comfy bed with loads of bedding. Big tv, a lovely large shower room and toilet. Beverage makings and scrumptious biscuits. Breakfast was right on the button and my wife’s soft food diet was easily catered for as I scoffed the full English. Our hosts Steve & Mel very friendly and could not do enough for us. Will be back? Oh yes we will!
