Lovely complete apartment near to the slopes.
4.5
Le C, managed by Alpine Residences, was excellent in most ways and disappointing in a couple of ways.
Met expectations: (1) The location is very good. It is not "ski in/ski out." You have to carry your skis up one escalator, walk a very short distance (including crossing the central street that traverses the village) and then up another escalator - and then you are at the Ariondaz gondola. It's easy, but it's not like you can ski to your doorstep. (2) There were nice balconies off both larger bedrooms (the ones with large beds) as well as the living room, and they provided a nice view of the hills and town below. (3) The condo is very clean, well-maintained and professionally run.
Exceeded expectations: (1) The price for our 13 day stay was quite affordable by standards of the area for a 4-bedroom condo that is well-located, clean, and well-appointed. We had 6 people (2 parents + 3 teenagers + 1 young child) and we had enough space and felt safe in the 8-person (4-bedroom/4-bath) unit. (2) The quality of the condo seems good. The walls are thick enough to block out most noise; the windows/patio doors are sturdy. We were right above the restaurant and never heard the activity below. We heard the garbage truck/snow plow in the morning, but those trucks are noisy. (3) The apartment was appointed with nice, cozy blankets, comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen (tools and appliances). In addition to the basics, they had: a salad spinner, loaf pan, 2 casserole baking dishes, champagne bucket, garlic press, lemon juicer (manual), whisk broom and dust pan, vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket, etc. - all of which were appreciated and used. (4) There were: good quality Siemens combo clothes washer/dryer and Siemens refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. (5) Gilbert Sport (ski store & rentals + lockers) is right in the condo building. If we had known that, we would have used them. (6) Heated floors!
Fell short of expectations in two areas: (1) customer interactions and (2) the spa. Perhaps it's partly a "cultural" thing, but if the site is interested in appealing to American visitors, I would suggest that the "site manager" take training on US-style hospitality. I wrote constructive feedback to Alpine Residences, the property manager.
During the first week of our stay (when the place had many vacancies), the hot tub was cold or room temperature during 5 out of 6 of the times I showed up for my pre-scheduled 30 minute visit. In addition, I provided feedback that it would be useful for Le C to provide toilet paper. We had a 4-bed/4-bath, and two of the bathrooms had NO TOILET PAPER when we arrived. We had just traveled from Paris, and we had to go to the bathroom. I thought it was reasonable to suggest that they provide toilet paper. I suggested that they have a starter set of basics like a few garbage bags and perhaps salt and pepper. The email response from the Site Manager included "Maybe a hotel would have been more suitable for your expectations..." In my face-to-face conversation with the site manager, I said that I don't think that having toilet paper or a hot tub that isn't cold are unreasonably high expectations, and telling me to go to a hotel instead is not a fair response but apologising is - and she said, "I cannot apologise for everything."
We ended up having a very pleasant stay. They ended up (mainly) addressing the cold hot tub issue. It was still not that luxurious (compared to others in the area). I would recommend this place in spite of the management's approach to customer service. It might be language or culture. We ended up buying a ton of garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, cleaners, sponges, toilet paper, salt, sugar, pepper, sauces, etc. We only used a portion of what we bought for all of the above.

The apartment was very comfortable. Beautifuly finished.
Perfect location
Most of the staff were very nice. Check in/out and boot room staff.
Unfortunately just one member of staff was rude to us during our stay.
Book in for jacuzzi 1hour slot with prime time already taken. Not allowed to book every day.
No plug in bath
Wish we had known about the use of locker even though we did not rent with them. We were made feel very embarrassed as we put our stuff in the apartment on the balcony.
No microwave
Soft closing doors wouldn’t stay shut.
We had 6 people but it would have been extremely cramped if there had been 10.
the lower escalator is not near the new ski lift which is opposite aquamotion.
4.5
The location was better than expected. The apartment was gorgeous, very beautifully decorated. Helpful and kind staff, from the front desk to the ski shop, everyone was so well prepared. We got our ski lifts, equipment, everything on the same building. Sauna and spa were also good and privet.
I wished I had some more information before my arrival, for instance, we didn´t know the apartment was so well equipped. Although the washing machine was not working when we arrived, the staff solved it very quickly.
