Spacious studio apartment, welcomed by a friendly concierge who looked after our bags until it was time to check in. Communication was good with the host.

Unfortunately the method of payment (mercado pago) didn't accept our debit card. I didn't realise we had to plug the boiler in until after my cold shower!! So I should have read the manual.

Easy check-in - the keys were with the security guard. The room was clean, the shower was good, the bed was comfortable. The room was on the ninth floor with a view over the city.There were howler monkeys in the trees beneath the apartment. We got many tips about restaurants etc.. in tbe area. We were able to leave our luggage with reception for the day when we checked-out, which was good as we had a night time bus.

We were asked to pay more than our Booking.com agreed price. When we questioned why the hosts claimed that this was due to commission . As booking.com do not charge customers a booking fee this was suspect, but we paid the extra US$3.95 because of the size of tbe amount and because we didn't have enough time to find another suitable accommodation.
