We were a group of 10 people. We had stayed at Chalet Weid for 3 nights. The property size was spacious. There were 6 bedrooms, 2 toilets, 1 shower room with a bathtub and 1 bathroom with a toilet. The place were clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. The living room was so big. There was a dishwasher and a washing machine. Sofia gave us all the necessary information. We have had a wonderful time at Chalet Weid.

The location, basement (well-equipped kitchen, living room), ground floor (two-double bedrooms, bathroom and toilet), spacious garden, option to use the garage and excellent views.

1st floor has four bedrooms that should be classified as hostel accommodation as they are of very poor standard (locked wardrobes with no keys - one wardrobe between four bedrooms). Two cracked windows, a games player with no controller, no instructions for facilities in the chalet, antiquated furniture, hazardous, rotten wooden coping to the veranda railings (I still have a splinter), paint peeling away from the outside of the building, which along with the external wood is in dire need of redecoration. Branches from a large tree overlap the roof enabling what we believe to be a squirrel to inhabit the roof space and create havoc as it rummages over the bedrooms keeping guests awake. I took video of all these issues and more should it be of use.

We wanted to love this chalet, but there were a few issues. The house is very spacious and had plenty of room for our group , the beds were comfortable, and the view was fantastic. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook dinner and the washer/dryer worked well. There is a big yard and multiple spaces for sitting outside to enjoy the view. There is a bus stop very close, but the bus only comes once an hour and the walk to the chalet is very steep and uphill for about 10-15 min if you choose to walk from town.

When we entered the chalet there were flies everywhere! Mostly in the kitchen, so the first night we couldn't even make dinner in there because there were just so many flies they were landing all over us and the food. It also made it difficult to sleep with flies bothering you. We did contact the host and they acknowledged there were more flies than usual in the area, but weren't able to do anything. There was also an animal living in the roof of the garage, making lots of noise at night.

location was perfect and the property is spacious. A very good place to stay with family.

amenities were not great. The room heating was not working and they tried to solve it during our stay which was kind of privacy intrusion (2 visits per day) and they could only find a solution on the last day of our stay.

The property is spacious and fit a group of 8 people comfortably. The view of the mountains are magnificent and all the facilities are in working condition.

A few observations 1. The property flooring need polishing. 2. Walking on the 1st floor create sound because it is wooden floor. 3. There were not spices, oil, sauces etc in the kitchen.

Great location, easy to walk to the village and Bodmi, beautiful views of the mountains, great yard with fire pit, outdoor furniture. plenty of space for 2 families, well equipped kitchen

Some of the equipment in the rooms were not working, such as the TVs. The exhaust fan in the downstairs toilet was very loud. When we arrived, the property was not well cleaned.

Extremely spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped kitchen, with dish washer. Washing machine/dryer in separate room. Huge bath, two showers, 3 toilets. Regular bus service at the top of the road to take you up and down to the train/bus station to travel further afield than Grindelwald. Very friendly staff and great communication and nothing was too much hassle for them.

Nothing, it was totally fantastic! highly recommended!
