We had a fabulous stay at Paul’s place last week. Group of adults and young children. Excellent location, lovely property. Would stay again.

Great stay for a couple of days catching up with friends.
Location and view amazing, accommodation clean and beds very comfortable.
We very much enjoyed our break.

Nice property, some parking available on the street but may be harder in the summer months. Nice size for all of us to fit in and the downstairs room, kitchen diner was good for socialising. The steps down to the kitchen are steep and may cause issues for people with mobility issues or little kids but all good for us.

What a find! We had a wonderful time, the location of this property is perfect with amazing views and a short walk to the harbour side. The property is well stocked and we were able to park right outside. The stairs down to the kitchen area are very steep which might be of consideration to elderly or very young visitors. Would highly recommend

We loved the house and it was so well equipped for a hassle free stay. Steep stairs were a funny talking point but the size of the house was fabulous. Plenty of equipment and lovely tidy furnishings so we could all relax, cook, and enjoy our time together. The host Paul was faultless and we had good contact before our trip which meant we had no surprises.

Excellent house, well stocked for all our needs. One TV in bedroom not working but other than that i was excellent and would happily recommend!

The house was very large and suited out larger family
Needs . Wonderful scenic views of the harbour and very quiet and peaceful. It wasn’t easy to get parked near the house and it was a busy season, so that’s understandable.
Overall we had a really nice time.

Lovely couple of nights away here - perfect for us and our friends! Great location close to the town centre and amazing views from so many of the rooms and the terrace.
Stairs down to the lounge/kitchen are a little steep for anyone with mobility issues - but we were fine.
Loved our stay here and will hopefully return next summer 👍

Lovely cottage with all mod cons spread over 4 floors. We explored the area with very little driving. Within 10 mins walk is the beautiful Fishcombe Cove, at the bottom of Battery Gardens. The museum was a small gem, with very helpful guides. Free entry on 3 afternoons a week. Other places to visit include Greenway House, Berry Head and Totnes. There is much more but we ran out of time.
Parking is in the roadside, we had 3 cars and always found a spot easily within 2 mins walk and often much closer. Park almost opposite was great to exercise the dog in the early morning and late at night. 5 min walk into town, probably nearer 10 min as it's a steep hill.
The cottage itself iscompactGo down to the main living space with up to date kitchen with all that we needed to cater for ourselves. Large fridge with freezer under, cooker and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea towels and dishcloths provided.

Fabulous views from this property which was chosen to suit a family of 10, 3 generations, and our dog. There was everything we needed and more. Limited street parking immediately outside but don’t let this put you off as plenty further up the street just a short walk away. We were lucky enough to see seals and dolphins. Great communication from our helpful host

Brilliant stay, views amazing, stairs very steep so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Host extremely helpful would definitely recommend to friends and family. If you want an excellent meal go to The Prince William across the harbour.

Excellent location for a mini break enjoyed it immensely the views from the town house are truely amazing. Fully recommend it.

Lovely stay, steep stairs would be difficult with young children or older people but we were fine. 6 minutes walk to harbour with lots of dining and drinking. We all had a fabulous time here.

No where on the information does it tell you that there are 3 steep staircases one of which is painted white with no carpet, very small steps, no tread grips and a glass door at the bottom for which I could find no safety kite mark. this was very difficult for my elderly mother and as the kitchen, living room, dining room and patio were down these step she had to struggle.
front door lock was hard to open, and there was only one set of keys which is ridiculous when the property sleeps 10, if you want to lock the door and go to bed but others are out you can't! we thought a second set of keys which we found on a key hook in the hall were front door keys (they weren't ) and ended up locked out as the rest of our party had gone somewhere else with what we thought was a second set of keys. phoned the host who didn't have keys, he said he'd call the cleaners but couldn't get hold of them so we had to call the rest of our group to come back from Totnes to let us in.
No welcome letter or local info on restaurants etc no instructions for the dishwasher, only very basic boiler instructions. clock in bedroom not working, no bins in any of the bathrooms or bedrooms, no cushions for patio chairs, nowhere in twin rooms to hang clothes, 1 of the duvets was stained,
info on website says "All towels and bedding washed in hot water that’s at least 60ºC" which made me think they were provided, so I was surprised to get email day before departure telling me to bring bedding and towels.
in the kitchen there was mop and bucket, 2 hoovers, laundry basket and the only bin all in front of the back door and nowhere to put them away.
curtains stuck to curtain tracks
kitchen was well stocked with crockery and equipment, good size TV, good location easy to get into town. Nice and quiet. Lovely views.

Owner cancelled when they realised we had booked for the Pirate festival. Said he was having builders in, this didnt appear to be true when we went to look at the house

Amazing views and a 10 minute walk down to the harbour. Lots of large green open spaces great for the dog within seconds of the front door. Very handy having a parking space behind the chain link fence because the road is busy. Overall loved the holiday and will never forget those views. Thank you.

We’re here for a long weekend break with the close family. The Property looks small until you get inside - it’s huge, modern but keeping its quaintness - warm, clean and in a great setting. Fantastic views of Brixham Harbour and Torbay. The kids loved it - Will be back.

Stayed over the New year, great property for a group of 7. Fantastic views over the harbour and quiet location. Easy access to the restaurants, steep walk but only takes 5mins. Parking was ok despite being in 2 cars, managed to park less than 100 yards away. Great comms from the owner with super clear instructions.

This property was beautiful in a nice place to access town and beaches in walking distance wwe as a family will definitely be staying again would recommend to anyone

The property is fine with nice views. We didn’t know until a few days before that we had to take own towels and bedding. This ruined the experience somewhat and created a lot more hassle and washing! I would not have booked if I had no we had to supply this. It was also not clear how to deal with recycling and the owner didn’t answer my text re this so we took all our recycling with us!

The property was spacious, clean, tidy and very well-equipped for our stay.
Great location.
The view from the patio area over the harbour was amazing.

Great place. Don't be fooled by roadside frontage when you arrive - the beauty is at the rear and in the view from the bedroom windows. It was a great base for us to explore lovely Devon and Paul was a lovely, attentive host

This property has everything we needed, and the views to the sea front are just unbelievable. Both of these are enough to forego the little things that could eventually be updated, such as carpeting and some paint work.
I would highly recommend this property for a stay in a heartbeat.
10.0
The area itself is very quiet so a good night sleep is not a problem even with windows open. Parking directly outside the property is hit and miss but driving around the immediate area you will eventually find somewhere.
The harbour is a five minute walk away but be warned walking back up the steep steps is a bit of a killer!
The house itself is spread over 4 floors with a lot of steep stairs. These are a little daunting at first but even our 4 and 5 year old children had no issues with them. The 3 double bedrooms have views of the harbour (lovely to wake up to in the morning) and the 2 twin rooms are road side. All bedrooms were very comfortable and clean.
The kitchen / living area is very modern and clean which leads on to the patio which again has harbour views. For us this was the most used area morning, noon and night.
Overall a great place to stay and will hopefully be booking again for next year! Thank you Paul for a great stay!

This was our 2nd time stay.
Beautiful Sea View and comfortable living room connected with kitchen. Everything was fine, but there were only 2 bathrooms for 10 peoples to use which were not enough. And there is no toilet on the ground floor, so you need to go downstairs during the midnight.
Anyway we all enjoy our holiday and will come back again soon.

Decent enough property the views are awesome ...yes the staircase is steep that's the nature of a lot of houses in this area this was our 10th in brixham.. quite cheap so no complaints...no we probably won't stay again mainly because our party gets bigger every time we go...thanks to Paul penney top man

Communication with the owner was excellent who couldn't do enough to offer help and advice when asked to do so.
The location of the property is amazing with the view over the harbour and the open sea being brilliant. This view is available from a number of windows and from the terrace. Parking for the property is awful and it seems to be a lottery if you manage to park outside or near the front door, though there is parking a few yards away
On entering the property we were aware of an odour that seemed to come up from the lower floor and the decor had seen better days.
On entering the bedrooms they where clean but the carpets were beginning to look past their best and the furniture was also looking past its best which gave an overall impression of below average.
Gaining access to the lower level wasn't for the faint hearted due to the steepness of the stairs and you were then met with an odour which we thought was either damp, though there was none evident, or the drains. The carpet on the stairs definitely needed replacing as it was ripped and threadbare in places.
The bathrooms were spotless and the water pressure on the showers brilliant.
The views from the terrace are outstanding but this is an area that could also do with a makeover.
The kitchen area is excellent with plenty of equipment and more than enough space.
In summary a really spacious house in an excellent location but the house itself, in our opinion, needs a makeover.

Stayed here during a sailing Championships at the yacht club. Very handy location, with plenty of space and delightful cliff top terrace to relax in. Highly recommended.

We’ve had a great 2 day get away. The house had everything we needed for 9 of us. Amazing views and location. Would highly recommend.

We all had such a great time. We were very lucky with the weather so it meant we could spend lots of time out on the terrace, which has an amazing view of the whole of Brixham harbour and Torbay. The property it's self was great for us adults the stairs down to the kitchen and living room are quite steep but other than that it suited us perfectly.
Paul the host was great all the way through and easy to contact.
Definitely recommend

The location was close to the town, the view was brilliant, however there were a number of things which we felt should have been highlighted. Having to take bed linen was a bit of a shock, towels yes but not bed linen. The stairs were very steep and some of us had mobility problems and found it quite difficult to ascend and descend. The glass door at the bottom of the stairs was worrying. There were no instructions for the television or the cooker, we did have a problem with the hot water but a phone call sorted that out. There were no spare loo rolls, and dirty dishes left in the oven. This said we made the most of our stay.

Lovely clean property. Well equipped. Good comms with owner Paul. Short walk into Brixham with a great park opposite which kept the kids entertained for football. Fantastic views from the terrace! Would def return

Very nice and clean, modern kitchen and bathroom. Great views and good location. Good wifi and kitchen supplies, and kids games.
Poor TV aerial, no wardrobe in 4 rooms. No hangers anywhere. No bins in any toilets. We found cloths belonging to others in drawers. Steep stairs are ok for young adults but not for elderly.

Great time was had by all and the house was great apart from the stairs, very steep? Big fridge and dishwasher which helped!? More instructions over where to put rubbish would be a good idea?
3.0
The property is spread over 4 floors. The level accessible from the street is the only one without a toilet meaning you need to use the stairs to be able to stay. Stairs are steep and narrow. This is not mentioned in the property details which feels wrong.
The views are incredible though you get the same view from the open parks next to the property.
Paul the host is great, very quick to reply to any messages.
Parking is street parking only, it is hit and miss on getting a space outside of the group of houses. There are spaces about 400 meters back but it is a one way street so another loop is needed if you hold out only to find you have missed the last space.
