The pool was lovely. Air con was a godsend
The rooms were dated, we had a very bad ant problem in our room and the old housekeeper lady was very grumpy especially with my young child. The shower wasn’t great

The apartments are close to the beach. There are several tavernas and shops only for a few minutes walk. The pool is a great fun place if your are with kids. Our host Takis was very friendly and helpful. The bust stop is about 3 minutes walk so you can easyly get to Fira (the capital of Santorini) from where you can find buses to other destinations on the island.

The location is good.
We arrived with our two little daughters, ages 3, and 5. The room for four people that we got had two floors and the stairs were dangerous - very narrow and steep- for the little one. We could not leave her alone for a second because we didn't want her to go up and down on her own. The railing was unsafe as well because of a gap near the wall.
As the photos show, the bathroom is very small. We didn't evaluate this well enough. When we arrived we found the use of the toilet and shower very inconvenient. It was almost impossible for my husband to stand in front of the toilet because the sink was in his way. Also, the sink and shower had a poor drain system creating a pool of water the minute you let the water run.
Another small thing, insignificant, is that on the booking website it says that there are shampoos and soaps and hair dresser, however none of these are given by the place.
After one night we decided to leave, mainly because of the stairs and safety issue. The place has a non-cancellation policy. But we still asked the owner to come to terms with us since we paid for 5 nights. He refused to give us a partial refund and we decided to book a different place for our vacation. He later offered us a different room instead. In the website I saw that the room we got was the only room for four people and we did not want to squeeze the four of us into one room, even if it meant not having stairs.
The room we got is offered as a family room however we found this misleading because it's too small, inconvenient and unsafe for small kids.
Eventually we moved to a different hotel, 5 stars, and the difference in price was not that significant, surprisingly. It made me realize that the price we paid initially to Santa Magia, for what we got, was very high.

The owner was helpful. Location was great, in the center of Kamari, very close to the sea. Rooms were cleaned every day. Comfy beds. AC worked nicely. Balcony was great for morning breakfast. Cooking equipment was there. The pool was small and often crowded, but still nice.
The bathroom was a little bit small. Shower without any cabin, just sink in the floor. Toilet seat was falling constantly, so I had to hold it with my knee when urinating (room no. 3)

I liked the fact that i shared the room with a variety of insects which varied in size from the mosquito to an unknown which was the size of my hand. These were a great addition and gave hours of entertainment trying to get them out of my room.
The giant fig tree which protruded the balcony giving no view but attracting an unbelievable volume of flies. This fig tree not only produced fruit but excreted a sticky syrup like substance which ruined our towels on the one and only day we stayed in this hell hole. Also the staff at this hotel decided that verbally assaulting my family was fair game even after i had openly discussed with the owner that we was seeking alternative accommodation. Because we couldn't open the balcony doors to let light in because of fear of being overrun with insects the lighting in this room was very poor. No doubt the owner will respond with i offered a different room for 4 nights and then back to the hell hole for the last 2 nights but I would like to warn any other families considering this hotel

For someone that`s never travelled to santorini, this place and the owner was above expectation`s, The taxi company i`d booked through booking.com screwed up, the same day i was flying out, no other online company had any availabilities to have me collected and taken to the hotel. When i messaged the hotel owner he was fantastic, not only did he have a taxi collected from the airport, he himself met me to make sure i arrived ok, introduced me to the room, went through everything and told me where supermarket`s etc are.

The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The area/neighbourhood was relatively quiet (so it did not interfere with sleep). In terms of value for money this is an excellent option.
The shower in the bathroom was tiny - it was unavoidable to wet the entire bathroom when showering. The small shower may prove a significant challenge for larger individuals.

not only were the accommodations lovely but Takis made extraordinary efforts to provide for our needs to the extent of asking other guests to switch rooms.
I can only suggest one thing — small reading lights above the beds

Had a great stay in Santa Maria, friendly owner with good swimming pool and the location is very convenient.
There were voices behind the door which were noisy and disturbing sometimes, in the morning or late at night.

Bedsheets were clean and so were the towels. Everything else was unacceptable.
No hospitality at all. Veranda was dirty, no curtain in the shower. Sanitary elements were rusty and worn out. Fridge was very old. Absolutely no service.I expected minimum 1 bottle of water. Not even that.
I would give it maximum 1 star.
No sign with the name on it. No reception desk. When I asked for the direction they sent me via SMS; we are south west of the football ground. It was by far the worst so far.

A very good choice in the centre of the village.
We felt the sense of safety even during corona virus time.
I strongly suggest it .It is also close to Kamari beach,stores, bus stop and there is easy parking as well.
