I loved this location and property so much that I would move in

I have stayed at literally dozens and dozens (I am 75 yrs old) of VRBOs in USA, Europe, Canada and Mexico. Cleanliness is my priority, then location and ambience, and communication with owner. This property knocked it out of the ballpark! I hope to stay again when rain does not prevent me from enjoying the lovely outdoor accommodations. The house is fantastic!

This cozy home felt as close to grandmas as I’ve come in decades. The hosts worked hard to think of all the things one might forget. My husband and I were so pleased with our stay here.

We took our family on a short holiday getaway. The location and neighborhood were great, very quiet. The house had anything we needed, and was very clean. We highly recommend this rental.

Such an adorable home! The bird theme was so fun! My girlfriends & I had a great time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Chilled water in the fridge and fun snacks on the counter to enjoy. Close to downtown and walking distance to an amazing coffee shop. Definitely coming back!

This place is great! It was very cozy, clean, and charming. There was a nice message on the chalk board greeting us, a basket of snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and more! Walking distance to Republic Pi and Manito Tap House, Thomas Hammer coffee, Starbucks, and more. Nice porch, yard, and sitting area along the side of the house too. Highly recommended.

We actually only stayed at the house for one hour. ( and dirtied 3 glasses) We were trying to decided what to do………..and chose to find a hotel. The second bathroom is located in a basement area and the stairs down to it are not safe. As we were 3 people and only rent where we have two bathrooms, the stairs were certainly a problem. Especially considering the necessity of bathroom use in during the night. The house is charming but…….. beware. Randy, the owner I think, was pleasant to talk to but we just went ahead and left for safer quarters and paid for four nights! Disappointing!

There were several nails sticking up from the wood floors that we had to avoid stepping on. It did not puncture but it hurt if you accidentally stepped on one. The floors were so squeaky that it would wake people if you had to use the bathroom in the night. I had to get down on the floor to look for my hair tie that fell and I noticed that the underneath of the bed and dresser had a great deal of dust and dirt that obviously had not been cleaned in a long time. There is a dollar bill stuck between the dresser and the wall. When I went downstairs to use the washer and dryer I noticed that parts of the washing machine were grossly dirty and the laundry area had dead bugs on the floor. The living room couch had a large lump or two in the middle cushion making it uncomfortable to sit on. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds because one side of each bed was inaccessible without climbing over the bed to get in the bed. The light above the kitchen sink never came on fully.

The VRBO website shows a very cute comfortable house to rent, the description written sounded like this would be a great place to stay for a few days while in Spokane. However, the pictures and description on the website does not accurately represent the rooms or the basement. The basement was the biggest disappointment. The stairs to the basement are narrow with an angle and steep, they were difficult to navigate and had low ceilings. The area had an unusual odor, multiple spiders and other bugs, the bed was very uncomfortable. It was difficult to relax and sleep in the basement and the bathroom was also difficult to use. The refrigerator in the kitchen was not very clean. An open beer can in the door, which did not belong to us, the refrigerator had not been wiped out. The surrounding area was nice and easy to get around.

This home was a great place to stay. The south hill has many things close by and easily accessible. Would stay here again!

There was an extraordinary amount of care put into this cute little home. Randy and Amanda are wonderful hosts. Great communication from the onset. The decor was fun and the bird theme was so engaging. We were close to all of our destinations for our daughter’s college graduation. What a lovely week end in Spokane.

We had difficulty with the code but randy answered and gave us a code right away!! It is an adorable home and property we hung out under the covered area by the bbq area and the front porch every night it is quiet neighborhood and just the cutest place we plan on staying here again when we return in the coming months.

The property was as advertised. It's an older house with lots of charm. Don't expect really fancy, but it has everything we needed. Our dog loved exploring the beautiful yard. We had my sis and her husband over for dinner on the patio. It is a wonderful setting. The house is nearby lots of shopping and restaurants. The only drawback was at 6' I didn't dare go downstairs. My wife made it, though. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. We highly recommend this property!!!!

This house is very clean and nicely appointed. Numerous small details from a snack basket to a heated toilet seat make guests feel welcome and appreciated. Randy was wonderful to work with. We requested a pack and play, and not only was it made available, it was set up in the bedroom when we arrived. We hope to stay again when the weather is warm enough to enjoy the porch and patio.

Sweet little cottage; our Goldens loved the yard and we felt safe letting them be out there with the fence. Starbucks close by 🙏☕️

The Birdhouse is was a perfect location in the Manito Park area, very clean and well appointed. Super easy parking in a long driveway. It snowed when we were there which made it even more charming.

The house was very accommodating for our family. Loved the location, could walk to coffee, shopping & stores. Only complaint is the living room seating. It’s uncomfortable. However the beds were very comfortable! We would definitely rent again.

The Birdhouse was the perfect little home base for our family Spokane adventure. The location was perfect for anything you may want to do within Spokane, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house was charming and well decorated. We had a cozy little winter escape at the Birdhouse.

We loved the Birdhouse! Charming bird-themed decor, lovely garden area with fountain. Everything was frozen solid wuth over a foot of snow. We happened tobtravel during the worst storm in a generation so we git stranded in Portland due to road closures and missed our first night! So, that was a waste since we did not get a refund. The only issue was that it’s super hard to figure the TV set-up. No worry for us since we weren’t travelling to watch TV, bu We strongly recommend this rental!

Good location - clean and well stocked with essentials. Would stay again.

It was a short stay to see my boys. Busy living life as they settle down in Spokane

My sisters and I couldn't get over how comfortable and convenient the Birdhouse is! We cooked several meals, hung out, worked puzzles, and watched the birds play in the fountain. It is an easy walk to groceries, restaurants, and church. Also a short drive to the riverfront area and lovely Manito Park. This place exceeded our expectations in every way!

Quaint and cozy.

We had a wonderful visit and the cottage was perfect. Book this place fast, it’s the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. So many thoughtful touches, the really care about your happiness. The owner also went out of their way to bring us cake pans so we could bake a cake for our mother’s 80th birthday. Fabulous place, fabulous owners!

This little cottage was a gem in a great neighborhood. It was a great central location to downtown. The food in the area was very good, from wood fired pizzas to bar food. The property was well maintained and loved sitting out on the porch reading a book. Would definitely stay here again!
