Very pleasant and comfortable hotel in the centre of Cognac.

We stayed as a couple for one night at this lovely dog friendly hotel in the centre of Cognac on our way back from Spain. The hotel is a real gem, renovated in bold and beautiful colours with a small restaurant attached. Really friendly staff, nice food and great atmosphere.

The breakfast was as expected and the air con was welcome. Reception couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly

Excellent staff, great bed, spacious shower!

We were upgraded to the room you see in the picture by the very welcoming receptionist Clean, smart , comfortable room with extra wide bed. At least three channels of news in English on the tv.. Excellent power shower, separate toilet. Excellent shutters. Location on the main pedestrian street near the town's main car park was excellent too. The hotel has recently been totally restored and upgraded from two star to three star.

The shower had no soap dish or anywhere to put your shampoo etc. One entertainment channel on TV in English would have been nice. The Internet WiFi would not work for an iPhone despite the very helpful young receptionist trying everything he could. It worked fine for an Android. Dinner in the restaurant was rather disappointing. We wanted a Cognac in the bar after dinner but the bar was closed at 21.50hrs.

Location excellent - very central, breakfast good, room comfortable. Stay was made significantly better by Louise who was super helpful with advice on tours, booking restaurant, sorting out parking. She really made a huge difference to our stay - thanks.

Old world type of hotel but modern and clean at the same time. Nice room, very nice staff. Breakfast was good and varied, nice pastry! Loved the breakfast room, lovely setting, so chic, but also the ability to eat in the courtyard under the vines. Great value.

The location is excellent and within walking distance of the main attractions.

Great location and helpful staff at reception. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and beds comfy.

Really struggled to fit the travel cot provided in our room as had been set up in a little side room. There was no sink in beside the toilet so very unhygienic. Housekeeping let themselves into our room on 2 occasions while we were in there with very little warning.

Staff was particularly careful, smiling and arranging. The building is beautiful and renovated with taste. Rooms are standard, comfortable, with a hint of special touches that give them all their identity. Location is unbeatable.

A bit disappointed by the restaurant where we had lunch only once and that everybody recommended us. But it was a special weekend (national french holiday), so it was very crowded/busy and maybe we were just unlucky this time. Worth a second try. I would't penalise them for it.

Really friendly and helpful staff, and all speak English very well. Great location in the town centre, right by the picturesque shopping streets. Cosy courtyard and restaurant with a simple menu but great food and good service. A neat breakfast with appropriate covid measures. Also, the rooms have super comfy beds and pillows!

Overall the room was clean, but the nightstand had some sticky stains from a drink glass. When an adjacent room was using hot water the boiler/water was quite loud. It makes sense since it's a historical building, but it was somewhat noisy early in the morning.
