The location was amazing, the sea water pool beautiful. The beach is stunning with crystal clear waters. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the feel of the place - music and drinks as the sun went down. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Nothing!

rooms were comfortable snd property was well kept.
VERY limited selection at Mantineo restaurant. beach chairs were uncomfortable and could use some padding.
4.0
Nice design, beautifull beach & outdoor pool, good breakfast, Very polite, helpfull and profesional stuff.
Large , nacely decorated rooms. Resort very clean.
Very inconvinient location for any travelling from resort if you do not have a car!
CAR IS A MUST !!! You are just trapped!!!!!
Contrary to discription on Booking.com , there are only 2 restorants.
Mantineo for dinner-poor variety and tasteless cooking, Stromboli for lunch not bad, but same menu every day.
It also works as a bar, but close at 8 every evening. If you want to get to any other restorant or even grocery store, you have to ask for taxi and it will cost you 30-50 euro round trip !
Nothing at all at the wolking distance, unless you are able to hike long way or climb uphill .

I admit that I came here with a little apprehension, due to certain comments about this Resort.
But after a few hours of being here, all my fears disappeared. Everything is superlative!! Very spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast and dinner, the beach, the pool and the Spa are wonderful.
The staff is very dedicated and very friendly.
Everything is impeccable!!!
The price-quality ratio is a 10.
For all this we decided to extend the initial stay of 7 days with 3 more days.
Thank you all very much and we highly recommend this hotel!!!

Great Hotel in ricadi Capo Vaticano city of Tropea.
Remotely located on a beautiful beach.
We have stopped at this resort each time we visit Italy coming from the USA. We enjoyed the relaxing /unpretentious high end setting- that allow you to reconnect with nature, listen to the sound of the weaves/ enjoys beautiful sunsets and the unobstructed view of the Stromboli island.
The Hotel location is very unique, right on the water. Beautiful surrounding, photo are a true reflection of what’s here! Nothing is left to chance, a very clean environment cared for especially in the design details.
We rented a small boat and traveled along the Costa Degli Dei, enjoyed snorkeling in the incredible crystal clear blue water..
Most of the staff is attentive and hard working. The rooms are very nice/ clean/and spacious with a sea side view. The beds have comfortable mattress very clean linen and comfortable pillows. The bathroom are large, well decorated and clean.
The hotel breakfast is delicious and substantial-there’s on elegant display of pastry /fruits/juices /cereals /colds cuts/ fresh dairies and a station that prepare eggs/any style you like.
Dinner also pretty good, high quality of the raw materials which uses mostly Calabrian origin.
Special mention to Rocco, an incredible waiter always with a smile on his face also thanks to Francesco /Sebastian/Sara / and others.. sorry do not recall
everyone names.
Spa- It is quiet, spacious, truly adheres to international spa etiquette standards. gracious and helpful staff, offers an elegant and well-maintained area.
To our knowledge this is the only high-end
beachfront Hotel in the Calabrian region.. were structure like this are hard to find.
Thank you Tony& Lucia z.
We discussed with management..nothing serious

The resort was beautiful - it was expansive and set on one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever stayed at. We stayed in an Oceanview room which was so worth it. Waking up to that view was worth every penny. The service was impeccable - especially the Bar staff working the beach area. They were attentive and always catering to their guests needs. Excellent breakfast offering as well as the lunch restaurant. It was a bit more pricey than what you would find in towns, but totally understandable when you see the location of this place. The beach was beautiful and totally comparable to our beach stays in Puglia and Sardegna - white sand, blue waters, chairs and umbrella readily set up for you each day. That was the main purpose of our stay and it exceeded our expectation. The Management on staff recovered nicely from an issue we had during our stay and over-exceeded their service recovery -well done. The resolution to the issue was appropriate and appreciated.
The only constructive feedback I can give is that the location is very remote. If you have a vehicle, it's fine - you can drive out to neighboring towns for dinner (if you do not have the dinner package). If you don't have a car, there is nothing you can really walk to. There are restaurants at the top of the road, that can be accessible by walking up 3 very steep roads - it would be very difficult if you have trouble walking. One suggestion would be for the hotel to have a vehicle they can offer (even at a reasonable cost) to drive guests to local restaurants that are within a 5 min drive (but very difficult to walk to). The hotel is at the bottom of a very steep road which makes walking up it a bit difficult.

The resort itself is amazing…..quite and great location, breathtaking views, nice pool and spa facilities. The staff is very friendly and the resort offers a nice Mediterranean breakfast.
The service at the pool bar is very slow….we waited 40mins for a beer, an Aperol Spritz and ham and cheese toast which arrived already cold. The fine dining restaurant is a nice mediterranean cuisine restaurant but not a fine dining experience. Restaurant and Spa staff is very friendly but overall service lacks professionalism.
Cleanliness of bathrooms could be better.

tutto!
the dinner menu should be changed more frequently to provide guests more options.

the resort is very reclusive and exclusive! an absolute amazing area of Capo Vaticano! Tropea is an easy 10-15 mins by bus/car. Pros: Beach is exclusive and private, beach service is fantastic, staffers are always around to serve and help with any request. Food is absolutely incredible considering this is a resort, breakfasts are wonderful! ambience and hotel facilities/ grounds are breathtaking, clean, inviting and chic! pets, children and LGBT all inclusive in our experience:)
unfortunately due to the African heat wave in italy - it was extremely hot during our stay. with regards to our superior room category- yes it was absolutely gorgeous and spacious however we immediately had an issue with our AC not working. having No fan, it was extremely hard to get comfortable so we had no choice but to ask for help. after a few tries and asking 2 times for help and getting a new room we finally got transferred to a new room, had to wait over 45 minutes in the heat after a long long day of traveling. the staff accommodated us the only thing we wish was that it was done faster. however, they did handle the situation well. i just don’t think a property of this level should have BROKEN AC…please make sure you check if your air conditioning is working, any time you open your door you let air in… italy is a bit slow with handling AC issues in general- this by far is the only CON in our opinion of the property. Capovaticano Resort to keep your hotel at this high level rating we suggest you renovate the entire AC in the building- more importantly the rooms, we were never able to get it under 24.5degrees C
minimum comfort level should be at 20-21 in this heat wave.
other than this, it’s absolute paradise!

the beach, the outdoor amenities
same menu every day and night. very few people who spoke English, not many activities to do on beach, a bit too quiet
4.5
Location in front of the sea with private beach, swimming pool with sea water, nice SPA included in the price, internal and external architecture. Very large and confortable common space (bar, beach, restaurant, ecc..). Excellent breakfast for quality, quantity, service.
Strobolicchio Restaurant: level of price completely not aligned with level of service and portion of food

Just a magnificent setting along the coastline, paradise.
Front desk staff could be a bit more friendly
4.0
the sea, the spa
a bit hard to reach, a lot of meat on the menu, lack of personalisation in the room (it seems a room anywhere, not in Calabria)
4.5
Amazing good breakfast, with many options and nice presentation. Everything was very fresh.
The beach was very beautiful and the lounge + pool area were nicely integrated to it.
Only down point was the air condition not working in the room
4.5
Sophisticated design and attention to detail, cleanliness, attentive staff, beautiful beach and pool area, private underground parking, gym, SPA, yoga classes, comfortable bed, sea view from the room, strong and fast Wi-Fi.
Breakfast buffet has a good variety of pastries, cereals, eggs, cheeses, hams, and more. Dinner is à la carte. If you buy half-board, bear in mind that drinks are not included. The staff at the restaurant didn't speak English, but we were keen to learn some Italian, so it wasn't an issue for us.
Very positive impression overall, we would recommend.
Grazie mille!
Snack and lunch menu could be improved, it lacks healthy options, prices are on the higher side. The cost of a cup of cappuccino at the pool bar was six euros – tastes like an average petrol-station coffee at the price of a high-end coffee shop in Soho.
4.0
Great location and facilities especially the spa. Reception staff were amazing and helpful. Access to the beach is very nice and pool area is fantastic
The main restaurant Mantineo was no where near as good as expected given the quality of the hotel. The English menu gave no detail as to what the different items contain and the staff could not speak any English. The food quality and quantity was poor considering the price and it took 40 minutes to get our food.

Very Clean throughout and spacious comfortable room

Best place! Best design!
Dinners. Long time to wait. Poor choice. Non tasty. Must changed.
4.5
Super locality in the calm area, very nice sandy beach. Beach umbrellas are included and without problem to get it. Good quality and quantity of food.
Toilets would be closer to the beach.
There are no changing cabins.
If you want to go outside the site it is best to use a car.
