This place was so lovely we are tempted to keep it a secret! It is at the edge of town with a magnificent view of the African coast and Jebel Musa (Mount Moses) in Morocco. You can watch the ships passing through the straits and the ferry which takes you on a short crossing to Tangier. Gibraltar is less than an hour away. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We parked the car in the secure parking lot and pretty much walked everywhere except Gibraltar.

For us, this place was perfect. We wished we could stay longer.

Beautiful location overlooking the Street of Gibraltar, good restaurants nearby. Nicely decorated apartment, very clean, very friendly host. We loved the pool overlooking the ocean & Africa.

The room was clean and had a wonderful view. The bed was comfortable and the room was well kitted out for a nice stay.

The only thing missing, in my opinion, was a comfortable seat. There were wooden dining seats but nothing but the bed to relax on. A small sofa would make it perfect .

Eva, one of the property managers, met me at the property, showed me around and to my room. She was fantastic & really friendly. The room was exceptional, the views stunning and the rooftop poor even more so. I loved the drinking water taps on each floor and the beautiful tiles lining the stairs and lobby.

The walls are quite bare, could use some artwork. The noise from the nearby construction works was really annoying (appreciate there’s nothing the proprietors could do) but this ruined the tranquil moments. Proper double beds would have been nicer than 2 singles together

It had no ac in the bedroom. However they did provide a fan. It also wasn't serviced for the 5 days we were there

I loved the that they had a laundry room available for guest, every hotel should offer this service. The view and the location was amazing!

The hotel's cleaning service was once every seven days which I found hard because with all the doors open and with my hair the floors got really dirty. It would have be nice to have a full time service desk. I had to keep asking the cleaners to call someone that could help me a couple of times. I don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English which made things tricky. But the cleaning ladies and all the staff were lovely!

This place is exceptional. I stayed in an apartment with sea views and the view was even more wonderful than expected based on the photos. The apartment was beautiful, very clean, spacious. The attention to detail was fantastic: there was even a binocular to check whats going on in Marocco side 😅. The heated swimming pool and a Finnish style, proper sauna on the roof were absolutely something else (being Finnish myself I truly appreciated it!). Loved it doesn’t describe it well enough! The amenities in the apartment made everything easy: coffee, dishwasher, bathroom amenities, beer, wine - all there. I also loved the drinking water tap in the corridor: no need for yeat another plastic bottle. The possibility for convenient & safe parking onsite was a must for me and a great plus. I’m a seasoned traveller and not easily amazed. La Residencia is worth all the praise.

The only thing to mention is sound proofing. I heard my neighbors a little too loud, but luckily they respected the silemce times and that didn’t become an issue. The location itself is utterly silent, no street noise or anything.

We booked 3 apartments for a group trip to celebrate a 40th Birthday, unfortunately a number of the party had been in close contact with positive covid cases and were not able to go. As a result we thought best to cancel the trip and ask if it was possible to refund or get credit. La Residencia were completely accommodating and gave us credit voucher even though we were past the cancellation date and was very last minute cancellation. I have stayed there a number of times in the past and have always had a great stay, they have always been very helpful and friendly. Thanks

Amazing one bedroom apartment. Location was outstanding, beautiful pool and sauna. Pool is on the top floor of small apartment building (3 stories) with a view of Africa!

The bed was king size (two twins together) which was fine except the covers were two twins, which was odd and kind of cold in November.

Breathtaking views, beautifully furnished apartment, comfortable bed, great swimming pool. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants of Tarifa. Very well organised and professional.
