Could improve on showers and toilet as not ideal for a big group whonwant to shower at once. Otherwise excellent for a small party.

Very clean, friendly cleaner, nice kitchen and lounge, nice view from outdoor seating. Co-op and nice pub close by.

Would have been nice to have a reception to assist with any queries, or offer advice on walks etc. Room was very hot, unable to open windows because of muddies, maybe screens? Unexpected vehicle access. Bit of noise from other guests.

Too far to go once we got off the trail. People next door had very noisy kids that were making a racket until late at night.someone left wet clothes all over ladies room.

Location is excellent and has all the facilities you need

Good sized room, basic but clean and tidy. The place is easy to find and close to train station and high street. They gave me the code for main door and my key was left on reception desk to collect so seemingly no staff in the property at all, which was fine given I had no issues but not good if there's a problem with booking or room - a phone number is not the same as having someone on site.

Could do with some modernisation throughout. The window in the room didn't close properly, though it didn't get too cold overnight.

Self-service lodge, clean shared kitchen, showers were ok with a seperate dry area to leave your stuff.

Rooms very basic, old type bunk bends, not very comfortable to sleep.

Beautiful view, very small and basic, for one night good enough. Well equiped kitchen.

Very flat pillow, only two power spots in room for 4..

The bathrooms were nice and clean.

The rooms were disappointing, had an ugly smell and the carpeted floor was not really clean. There was a dirty cloth on the tap in the kitchen.

Great location within a short walking distance of pubs and shop. Although there is no onsite parking the drop off point worked well and the walk from the free car park to the lodge was well signposted and only a few minutes.

No one’s fault but because of the midges you couldn’t open the window of the bedroom which made it a bit stuffy. I can’t offer a solution to this as an extract fan would be noisy and you can’t eradicate the midges.
