The cottage/ shack is in a lovely garden setting with great amenities and facilities, looking out to the sea with opportunities for fantastic sunsets and dolphin sightings
That we couldn’t stay indefinitely and had to leave

The position was good and with our dog it was easy walking to and from places nearby eg shop.
The cottage was small comfortable and all we needed. I particularly liked the openness and the sky window above the bathroom vanity.
The camp kitchen was excellent suitable for 2 or family groups bathed in the afternoon sun.
I didn't get to see the purposes swim by at night...a bit late...next time.

magical place — loved the shanties and waterfront views.

The property is right on the water which is really nice. Flat land for nice big walks with our dogs. Can take dogs with us which is awesome.
Should have fence and gates around the accommodation which allows you to take your dogs.

Location great right on the water and the dolphins come in at night
No a/c but fans in cabin Bit old and rustic so if you don't have high expectations you will have a great holiday

Great experience of tiny home living. Outdoor kitchen was everything you needed.
Wild life 2 Koalas. Everyone was respectful with dogs on leads.

Perfect setting with a wonderful view from the common garden, right on the water. Everything we needed was supplied. Jane who manages the property is an amazing host, so friendly and attentive. There are lots of opportunities to socialise in the well equipped communal kitchen and dining area. Loved our stay.

Every aspect of sea shanties is wonderful. Could not wish for a more relaxing stay with wonderful and available onsite management. Perfect location and pet friendly. I booked again already for next March

Loved the venue, location.
Didn't appreciate my family being treated as suspects, we were all there for a wedding with both extended families investing heavily in multiple accommodation venues. As soon as my family came to visit me, who was the only family member staying at Shanties, the host immediately told me I was not allowed to use the communal BBQ area and was to stay on "my side". 3 of my family members work for government, 2:are lawyers who passed the bar, we were glamourous in our attire but still treated as suspect. Disgusting attitude but typically red neck inbred QLD small town small minded people.

Lovely place, value for money. Clean and tidy and the lady who looks after the place is friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
Bed a little firm but that is all relative. I am used to a softer mattress.

The decor
A cutting board went missing from the camp kitchen and the staff keep asking us if we had it. We didn't even go in the camp kitchen the whole stay. It was very awkward.

The room was quite close to the eating area and the other guests had a few kids that although they were extremely well behaved it was quite noisy

Everything especially the friendly manager Jane made us always feel welcome and even let our little man help her.
Nothing the manager Jane was fantastic the facilities where everything u would want. Kept so clean and tidy.

The view, the jetty, the chairs to look at the view from & well appointed camp kitchen
Jane was highly efficient maintaining the property & ensuring rules were met.
2 lots of guests on the Saturday night were rude & judgemental which made my group uncomfortable. This is no reflection on Sea Shanties or staff. Sadly this is just ignorant people for you. I have no time for people that judge others based on appearances. I smiled at 1 said guest Sunday morning & got scorned at. Meanwhile dis these guests know that we funded their fire wood so they could have a relaxing fire ! We gave up & spent the night in our cabin.
Sadly this tarnished our stay & we will not be back In future. Would prefer to rent a house so don’t have to tolerate such rude people.
