My husband, 2 daughters and I are just home from a glorious week at Guest House Tomic. We were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the absolutely fantastic location by the beach. Our large family room with kitchen was priced very reasonably, the beds were really comfy and the view was breathtaking. Thank you to everyone at Guest House Tomic for such an unforgettable holiday, we couldn't be happier!

The absolute selling point of this property is the view, it really is exquisite. Difficult to get to as the property is up a lot of stairs so the journey up with the luggage wasn’t enjoyable, but the view made it worth it when you get there. It must be one of the best views on the island as wherever we were we could look up and spot our big window in the distance. The staff are lovely and very helpful when you need them. Marijeta was so supportive and efficient in answering questions before we travelled, and sorted some minor issues we had whilst there within minutes.

Being absolutely objective the room just isn’t up to scratch and is in serious need of updating. The walls and ceiling are poorly painted and there is no decoration within the room, it’s just bare walls, dated bedding and old scratchy towels. The furniture is fine and the beds are comfy, however under the beds was very dusty. There is a major design flaw in the kitchen where the window opens right onto the hob. The skirting boards are coming away from the walls and in need of repair. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen and the bathroom that we had to clean away daily. There really should have been some cleaning supplies left in the room as obviously coming in from the beach the floor got sandy. A dustpan and brush would have been all that was needed. Our room was not cleaned whilst we stayed there for the week. I believe this is because the property managers do not have access to the room whilst you aren’t there. I think this is a mistake and would have loved to return to a clean room, clean sheets and clean towels.

The staff were lovely particularly Fransisco and his wife, great location , lovely place. Only problem was there was a problem with the drains in our bathroom and they smelt bad.

Great location, although over 50 steep steps to climb to get to the apartment. Really friendly and approachable staff who were available to answer any questions. Loved the view from the terrace overlooking the sea, very quiet calm and peaceful

The location and view were amazing. The room was large and had a good sized kitchen and bathroom. There are a lot of steps to the apartment, but this was fine for us, the exercise was good and you don't get those amazing views without gaining some altitude! There was a covered patio area, perfect for breakfast and in the evening we chose to sit on a second, higher patio area, complete with very comfy furniture and parasol. Watching the sunsets was our favourite time of the day. There is a bakery only 1 minute away and both supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Swimming straight from the foot of the steps in the harbour was a delight. Highly recommended, but watch out for sea urchins, we recommend water shoes so your holiday doesn't get spoilt by being stung :-) Helpful tips: - You can book your the ferry online to Lopud, easier than trying to book from the island. The passenger ferry company is Jadrolinija. Trip is about an hour. About £4 each, one way - Supermarkets have most things, but a little expensive. A shop on the mainland would a good idea if you're on a budget. - Walking the island is really easy. There are small golf carts, that are taxi's to the beach on the other side, we walked it, took about 30 mins. - Best meal was at Peggy's, behind the harbour. Look it up! :-) A meal for 4, 2 coursed and some nibbles, with wine and soft drinks was £150

The TV didn't have any obvious channels and was very small, but we weren't there to watch tv. The kitchen had the basics but only 4 of everything, it would be nice to have a couple of additional knives, but not a big deal. Other rooms had balconies, this would have been a nice to have, but with 2 terraces to choose from, again, not a problem. Overall, no real negatives, just a great place to relax and enjoy those beautiful views.

That was a lovely stay. Everything I was perfect - the view, the facilities, the friendly atmosphere. Thanks to Francesco and Andrea for making it so special and helping me with everything I need during my stay. Cannot wait to come back!

Fantastic place to stay! Lots of stairs but the view is so worth it. Very lovely hosts, very helpful and accommodating. Clean room, comfortable bed, very efficient air conditioning, really good shower, always hot water. Beach towels are also provided and changed every day. Nice little kitchen area with kettle, fridge, cooker and other appliances. Communal areas are really nice both inside and outside is a picturesque terrace with plenty of seating. Worth getting a room with a balcony as it was so nice to sit out and admire such a stunning view! Overall a top place to stay, would recommend and stay again.

Me and my friend Malene really enjoyed our stay here. Super location with a really nice view! Its close to the resturants and not to fare to the small taxi car that takes you to the beach.

Beautiful location on a hillside overlooking Lopud beach. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden, a variety of blooming flowers, cacti, jade plants and wild rosemary with citrus, olive and fig trees cascading down to the waterfront. Our room felt very clean and comfortable with a stunning view from our balcony of the bay. The staff was very nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend Guest House Tomić!

the sea view from the room was stunning. the room itself was good and there is an outdoor seating area that gives you a nice view of the bay. you can choose breakfast (additional cost) and it is made by two adorable women who serve everything homemade straight from the kitchen. the bread was warm, fresh and soooo yummy. even the lemonade is homemade. it’s totally walkable from the ferry port and after a decent 25-min-walk you’re at the other side of the island.

there is not really a kitchen, but a shared fridge. that was totally fine for us because there are plenty of restaurants around but if you want to cook by yourself, you might consider that. the house was a little difficult to find but a very friendly local helped us out.

The view from our balcony was one of the best in the world! The location was also perfect - we could go swimming directly in front of the guest house in perfectly azure water. There were also superb little restaurants/coffee shops right on the ocean within walkable distance.

Disgusting treatment from the staff member, Mr Elvis. On our first morning we had breakfast at the property, we were not told by anyone how payment was taken and so we assumed it would be paid at the end of the visit, as is standard with other accommodation. However, Mr Elvis asked for the payment the morning of the next day. I had responded by saying that I wanted to confirm my booking.com reservation to check that we had not paid for the breakfast in advance. The evening of the same day, he aggressively accosted us on the main island promenade effectively accusing us of theft. The aggressive encounter made us very uneasy and uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay.

Perfect location and a beautiful view. I really enjoyed my two-week stay. The hosts were really accomodating and helpful with organising private transfers.

The apartment is situated on a beautifully scenic hill that (from our seaview room) offered the most wonderful view of the island. The apartment was clean and was very much great value for money, with a nice bathroom and reliable A.C. The family that run the apartment were beyond accommodating (even offering me medication when I arrived with a particularly bad migraine). The apartment sits roughly 5/10 minutes from the main buzz of the island, offering a lovely romantic evening stroll at the end of a long day on the beach. The main beach on the island is a 20 minute walk (v.picturesque, yet hilly) but there are minicabs that take you right up to the beach for a nominal fee. Would highly recommend.

Nothing springs to mind, though heed the advice r.e mosquito's (there are many in the eve on the island!) We bought some spray from a nearby shop and it was very much problem solved. Also worth noting that there are a few steps to the apartment which was no issue at all for us, but could be for others.
