The location is very convenient to reach. Very calm and relaxed place. The design of the property the house gives so close to swahili cultural.

The entrance to the road has a very bad bumpy road with no street lights

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful garden, clean and tidy facilities, European plugs, daily room cleanups and fresh towels, nice pool and cozy restaurant that serves food whenever you’re hungry. laid back vibe.

WiFi wasn’t always working well. But that’s it and to be expected on Zanzibar.

The friendliness of all the staff from the two lovely hosts all the way to the cleaning ladies. Everyone gave their utmost to make our visit perfect. The food was delicious and the service 100%. I will definitely tell my friends about Marafiki Bungalows.

Outstanding place to stay, staff is fabulous, garden lush and peaceful. Very family friendly, directly on the beach, pool is nice.. Cool breeze in a very very hot climate. Went there over New years and they had the best celebration, drums and dj on the beach. Food was by far the best I have ever had. It was the best time ever. Will definitely go back there!!!

Only down side, its quite remote, so no shops or restaurants near by. But if you happy with chilling at the lodge, which we did most of the time (and you dont easily get bored), then its the place to go.

The environment felt like a little garden paradise, the staff is incredible nice, hospitable and also very much themselves. Restaurant had the best dishes we ate on Zanzibar. A True touch of paradise. Thanks great staff:)

We carry fond memories of our stay at Marafiki Bungalows. it was perfect for the family, two young children and a teenager. It's a great breakfast everyday, the pool was very clean, spacious garden and place by the ocean for a quiet read or walk by the beach. The staff are very friendly, took extra care to ensure we were comfortable and the children's needs were met - food, towels..and lots of smiles. the food is really good too...look out for Swahili Night while there. There are many great options for local cuisine and other choices from the menu. Thank you to the Marafiki Family for a memorable stay! and thank you Butterfly! from us the kids : )
