The property is definitely not a “resort” nor 4 stars as they claim. it lacks character or any real feel. There is no real reception. A small make shift room office. No hall or dining area nor breakfast area. just around the pool. For > 300 € a night, this was a bad stay. sadly we were there for 3 nights. the apartments haven’t been maintained in a while. there was a terrible terrible lingering smell all throughout the apartment. the kitchen had stuff/ appliances needed, but lacked basic cooking items such as salt, pepper, oil, coffee. you are expected to buy all yourself. even the dish soap and sponge we had to ask for it in order to do the dishes. the bathrooms are terrible. rusty faucets, rusty rails, overflowing shower area. (see pics below) the “bar” at the pool opens some few hours in the morning and some few hours in the afternoon/ early evening. that’s it. with very limited drinks options. the included in the price “breakfast” is a hot drink/coffee and a croissant of the sort. every day we tried to have breakfast (8 am to 10 am only at the said “resort”) the croissant were finished! the last day of our stay, we also tried to have an early one as we were leaving at 9:30, 8:45 am and still no croissant prepared. we wanted to rent a scooter and bike. the recommendation from the hotel was really one of the worst and most expensive rental places on the island.

Mediocre residence, bad maintenance throughout the residence and very bad room conditions. For 2 days we couldnt use the shower because was so dirty and not discaled properly that water wasnt coming out. The kitchen was not working and on a 7-day stay was fixed on day 7 without even apologizing or offering alternative solutions. Staff always hiding hoping we wouldnt chase. Last but not least we had asked for a transfer at check-out but they didnt communicate our check-out to the minivan driver therefore we had to wake-him up at 6am in the morning to avoid loosing our connection. Awful overall experience.

The place was great, clean, lovely pool and staff was incredibly nice and accommodating! All in all it was a ten!

This was the worst experience I had in the last 10 years booking with booking.com. When we arrived at the place, we stayed in the middle of the road, in the sun, with lots of bag, for 10 minutes, until someone opened the door. I rang the bell, I called the property, I sent messages and nothing. I was locked outside. I had to scream for someone to open the door. Also, we booked this “hotel” because of the pool. All the good reviews of this place are about the pool and we were excited to spend the last days of our trip in the pool. The pool was under maintenance. No one told us that prior to our arrival. Everyday they would say that it would be fixed, but it didn’t happen. Be aware that this place is not a hotel. There’s no reception. The staff doesn’t stay there for 24 hours. We had no energy during the first night for a couple of hours, and I had to notify them for something to be done. You are booking an apartment that has no basic items for cooking (there’s no salt, no oil, no sugar, no napkins). There weren’t any soap/detergent and sponge for us to do the dishes. The cleaning was terrible. Our apartment had lots of ants. They never apologized for the inconveniences and never offered something to compensate. There are better places than this!

Overall our stay was very nice, the apartment is large, clean with simple but modern style. There is a very nice pool area and the resort is green and well kept.

We loved the location of the property, it was close to town and had easy access to most places on the island. We hired bikes for the week and cycled everywhere. The swimming pool area was a lovely and peaceful spot to relax when we returned to the property after a day exploring. The air conditioning was excellent - very important in Sicily in summertime! The property was well kept, very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Communication prior to our arrival was quite difficult. Emails and messages were sometimes unanswered, even when we were trying to extend our stay. The property would be even nicer with more greenery/plants, especially for privacy between apartments. Many guests hung their laundry in the common areas and walkways (obviously no fault of Camaro, but I wouldn’t allow it if this was my property).

Camaro’ is a nice new construction close to town. Facilities are good but service and management are poor. Read on to understand why.

Camaro’ facilities are good but there is no service remotely in line with a 4* hotel. What really spoiled it for us is that we had an accident that should never happen and the way management dealt with it was deeply dissatisfying. Our 8 year old son was showering. As he was getting out of the shower the sliding door derailed, there was no safety stop (how can that be?), the glass door feel over him broke in 1000 pieces and cut him all over his body. Blood everywhere, screams and a run to the A&E: 3 stitches under his knee and cuts on the head and all the over body. This accident should have never happened, not to mention to a kid. It was hard for the cleaners to remove all glass splinters and so we were unable to use the kids’ bathroom throughout our stay for safety reasons. Moreover the website was saying the hotel would provide service: 1) bikes at €5 per day per bike 2) grocery shopping for a €25 fee to get you started When I asked about the bikes to the hotel firstly they told me that they were not providing them any longer (they deleted the service from the website 10 min after I called) and I really had to go back and forth and chase to get this service fulfilled (our friends gave up). The food shopping is simply not provided. Conclusion: good hotel facilities but little service certainly below 4* rank and management not up to their job. I was already upset enough I did not want more stress. I ended up paying full price €3800 for 10 nights as if I had a normal stay (they took up €150 bar bill) but in reality I had only one bathroom accessible (for 5 people) as per one bathroom accommodation which should have been €700-800 less, notwithstanding a traumatised kid literally scarred by the accident (I have only praise for the A&E of the island by the way). This is why I have been dissatisfied despite Favignana is a great place and hotel facilities are nice.

Nice swimming pool, small scale facility close to, or at walking distance to the center of Favignana. Attentive staff and good cappuccinos in the morning as well as excellent restaurant recommendations.

Rooms are quite noisy - can hear neighbours talking. Maintenance of outdoor facilities/pool area could have been a bit better.

The place, the concept is very well thought out. The apartments are well equipped and good-sized. The layout of the resort is very comfortable. The pool is nice and the ambiance at the resort is very relaxing.

The hotel was very clean. It is near the town, 10min walk and by bike is only 3 min. It is ideal to rent bikes to move around. The hotel staff was very helpful to help us rent them and they even gave them back for us on our departure. Also, they picked us up and dropped us off at the port upon arrival and departure.

Communication wasn't super easy before arrival.

Surrounding area was nice and comfortable and the hotel was next to village.

The apartment was next to public areas and there was not so much privacy.

We had an amazing stay at Camaro. The apartment was great with lovely terrace. The pool was also great. Location also very good for going into town and exploring the rest of the island. Highly recommend!
