Very beautiful onsen with an inside and outside bath. And you can play billiard or karaoke for free.

We ordered a Seaview room, which we received, but it was on the first floor, so we could only see trees.

Convenient to access from the station, electric bicycle use, can enjoy table tennis and karaoke for leisure, ocean view room, dinner and breakfast buffet. The best part about our stay at the hotel was Emura san at the front desk who checked us in. One of the most friendliest, courteous, and helpful staff I have ever seen! Thank you Emura san!

Nothing in particular but because the property is so old, some parts of the hotel ceiling were falling apart..

The free karaoke, billiards and table tennis were great! The hot spring was relaxing as well.

Nice hotel by the port and 10mins walk from train station. Nice onsen in the hotel. Large variety of food for breakfast and dinner. Free bike hire to explore the town.

Shimoda is really far away from all the main city, this is one of the biggest hotel available here. For the stay, it is value for money. It has a spacious room, with all the basic facilities. The most important thing is it has a public onsen place on the second floor, and a gaming area on the first floor, you can play American Pool for free there. Staff are nice and try their best to serve you even they cannot speak very well English. Much appreciated.

I read previous review said their food are great. So I stayed 2 nights with breakfast and dinner included in the first day. Their food is basic and I pretty sure there are better options outside. But as other comments said, they provide all you can drink alcohol (draft beer/different kind of whisky or shochu’s mixer. So, if not for drinking, there will be better option available in the town.

toilet are dirty and really bad smells.no enough outlet. 2 outlet for 6-8 people?! everything is dirty and full of dust except the beds. it says that there is private air bath but we didnt see except to the old dirty room

Room was spacious.

Location was distant from town centre, I had booked a ‘sea view’ room but our room was on the ground floor with no view, windows wouldn’t open, staff were not friendly.

The all-you-can-eat (and drink) buffets for breakfast and dinner were wonderful. I stayed four nights and I still didn’t get around to trying everything. The room was a very spacious 12-mat room with all the comforts I needed and a lovely view of the mountains. Incredible bargain for the money, especially when you include all the food. The onsen was very welcome, and I highly recommend using the fantastic rotemburo. It was only a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the train and bus station. It was very quiet there. I never had to wear earplugs to get to sleep like I do other places. Even though there were a lot of people there, everyone was respectful and the whole place had a nice relaxed feel to it. It makes a great base for exploring so much of the Izu Peninsula, and I can’t wait to go back again.

There doesn’t seem to be much English spoken by the staff, so that could be a problem if you don’t speak any Japanese. However, most of the signs and instructions were in English as well as Japanese.

The room is really good size, the food is very good, the staff are kind. the hotel offer for free electric bicycle, ping pong, billiard, open and closed onsen. i will go back for sure

Good Onsen(Hot spring) hotel near the very popular Shirahama beach in Shimoda. you can experience traditional Japanese inn including Japanese style breakfast and dinner with bathing facilities. I recommend this specially for group of people.

it is located close to the station and near places to eat. There are electronically assisted bicycles you can rent for free which is very nice when exploring the nearby area, I recommend availing of this as it’s nicer than going on foot. staff were very helpful. the ocean view was really nice. Hot bath was also good and it has an outdoor bath as well.

hotel is a little old and run down but it’s not terrible.
