Honestly nothing wrong. It was pleasant stay and staff also so cooperative.

Except the bowl for cereal/muesli breakfast is small, others are good enough.

Very friendly, helpful staff! They were lovely and welcoming and responsive to our emails. Due to a technical issue with our plane, we missed a connecting flight and reception were quick to respond with advice for the trains etc. The view of the Matterhorn from our balcony was stunning and the whole hotel has a rustic, authentic, old school charm. The bar, terrace and breakfast were also lovely. There is a lift right next to the hotel which takes you straight down to the main town which was super handy!

Everything was great but the breakfast started a little late at 7:30am. It would be better if it started at 7am (to give more time to get to ski/snowboarding up on the glacier nice and early).

The location!!! Room is huge and water pressure for shower is strong. Lots of charging points for our devices. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Breakfast spread could be better. No scrambled eggs.

Loved the character of this hotel. Had a real Alpine feeling to it with all the beautiful wood, the styling and the vaulted ceilings in our room. Staff was very welcoming upon check in and during our stay. Unfortunately, we arrived late for check in and therefore missed the shuttle to the hotel so we had to walk from train station to the hotel. Google maps took the shortcut; it was a very steep incline to the hotel, with luggage in tow and we arrived breathless to the hotel. Front desk staff immediately offered a drink of water, and we were very appreciative and helped bring our bags upstairs to the 3rd floor. Our room was comfortable and clean and had a view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh breads and buns, a selection of meats, cheeses and an egg station to make soft or hard boiled eggs, fresh fruits, cereals, juices and hot beverages in a beautiful alpine dining room. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little town.

The views of the Matterhorn & the Alps are spectacular from this hotel! The staff at the hotel were kind, and the hotel is dated, but very clean. The decor in the lobby, bar, and breakfast area was just what I was hoping for in Switzerland. I loved the breakfast. Lots of protein options, and fresh bread and cake each morning. Also, there are cold cut meats and cheeses to make a sandwich, if you're not a breakfast person. They have a nice coffee machine in the breakfast area that makes a variety of coffees and tea. There is coffee/tea in the room too, but there is a small charge for extra coffee pods after the first day. The hotel valet picked us up from the train station station, and dropped us off at the end of our stay. We also appreciated the elevator to the main road. This will make sensse when you are here) From there you are close to the Sunegga Funicular and the Free Town Bus Stop that takes you all over town, including the train station (has a COOP grocery store nearby), and the Matterhorn Glacier Express (this is the gondola that takes you us to the matterhorn for skiing, viewing, dining, and the Glacier Palace, all of which are amazing!).

We were in a ground level room next to the pool, which was great, but it was a bit musty in there. I would not recommend this room if you have any kind of mold allergies. My husband thought the bed was too hard, but I thought it was comfortably firm. We loved being close to the jacuzzi, and used it every day after skiing. Also, this hotel is not really ski in/ski out by US standards. However, it is fairly close to the Sunegga funicular lift, but I developed a blister from so much walking in my custom molded ski boots. Zermatt is such a huge resort, that you need to walk a lot more than I am used to at my home resort.

Location is excellent! They will pick you up from the train station, do not try to walk because it will be a long hike uphill. Once you check in they give you an access card to the hotel next door which you take their elevator straight down to ground level. The Sunnegga-Rothorn ski lift (funicular train) is a short walk, maybe 3 min with ski boots on

Honestly wasn't anything I didn't like.

Hotel staff were very friendly , the bar area and breakfast rooms excellent for a 3 star hotel , who's location given the lift to street and to the piste via the Sunegga is really very good .
