Bienvenue au Rocky Roost! L’été 2019 est le premier été pour le Rocky Roost - soyez l’un des premiers à séjourner ici dans cette maison récemment rénovée avec de nombreux nouveaux meubles, une nouvelle literie, de nouveaux draps et de nouvelles serviettes. Préparez-vous à être époustouflé par les vues de cette maison. Cette maison de quatre chambres et quatre salles de bain est parfaite pour vos vacances à Lake Norman. La maison d'hôtes séparée avec une suite principale est un atout majeur. Le plan d'étage permet des options de sommeil flexibles.
La passerelle a un barbecue au propane et beaucoup de places assises pour tout le monde; profiter d'un repas et regarder le soleil se coucher. La cuisine a tout ce dont le cuisinier à la maison a besoin pour préparer le repas parfait. Il y a une salle familiale au sous-sol avec des jeux et beaucoup d’espace pour toute la famille. Overall this is a very nice property. The house is older and smaller than the pictures look. We had 7 adults (5 aged 18-21) and two older. The great things about this property include the view, the location, the deck and the guest house. Property management is also fantastic. They are quick to reply to any questions. The yard also has a pretty gentle slope for a lake property. The HVAC system is not powerful enough to cool the house in the hot summer months. I don't know if it's just old, undersized, or a combination of both. The two places you notice this are the guest house and the main floor bedroom. If you close the door to the main floor bedroom when you go to sleep, the bedroom becomes warm and stuffy during the night. The ceiling fan in that room cannot be put on high speed or it will make loud knocking noises. The plank flooring in the kitchen is starting to separate.

We stayed at Rocky roost and there was 6 of us.
Repaired much all had our own areas and our own bathrooms.
Overall it was a beautiful property with a gorgeous lake and views. The only thing that would’ve made it better was if it would’ve had a hot tub out on the back patio.

We did enjoy the property and the location. It’s only a few minutes of if I-77. The only negative comments we have is that we wish the exterior of the house was more manicured and cleaner. We would stay again, but we just wanted to give a fair assessment of what we thought.

Love this location but house is in need of major repairs. Lights not working on boat dock that was leaning terribly in back. House and upper deck needed cleaning. Mold was on back of house and upper deck. Paint was peeling off back patio doors. Not enough lawn chairs for fire pit to accommodate 10 guests.

The house was clean upon arrival and the dock and swimming areas were great. The property is rather steep going from the house to the dock area, so I wouldn't recommend for elderly people.

Fantastic Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this perfect location! House was very well stocked. I would only suggest a little updating with an added basement refrigerator. Other than that, we would definitely stay again.

Very nice property in a perfect location
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was perfect in a quiet, private neighborhood and the house and property were perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay here again. There are some minor maintenance improvements that could be done, but nothing that negatively impacted our enjoyment of the week. We would definitely recommend this property and the entire process was smooth and easy.

Great Getaway
We had a lovely time here. View is amazing. House had everything we needed. My children especially loved the big yard to run in and playing in the sand on the beach.

Family Wedding Weekend
The house was great for our family. We enjoyed sitting on the decks, looking at the beautiful scenery and fresh air. Bedrooms were large enough and beds comfortable. The guest room in separate building was nice to allow our elderly parents privacy and peace. Location is great for shopping and restaurants. Beautiful neighborhood and quiet.

The location and outside offerings were fantastic - exceeded our expectations especially the float that the children used non-stop. The property itself needs extreme TLC. The outside has some rotted handrails, loose pavers on the steep steps down to the water, horribly dirty windows covered in cob webs. Inside in the pictures on the internet it looked lovely. However, we had a severe ant issue and lost some food because of it (we were graciously compensated after the exterminator came out)and we bought spray and continued to treat, the ice maker didn't work so we had to go buy ice, one of the knobs on the stove worked but the indicator is broken so you couldn't tell if it was on without looking underneath the pan. The lock on one of the sliders on the main floor was stuck in position so we could not move it to lock it properly. the sink in the adjacent bedroom was very, very low to drain. Sadly, the furnishings in the gathering area off the kitchen where we spent most of our time are desperately outdated and dirty - really need replacing.

Perfect for our distanced gathering
This was the perfect space for our family to gather safely over thanksgiving. Weather was even warm enough for a boat ride! Kitchen is well equipped and we found spaces for families to separate enough to be together in this pandemic time. The deck and screened porch were perfect for gathering and bedrooms separated enough and beds very comfortable and the whole place was clean and tidy! We hope to get back in warmer weather for more enjoyment of the lake front and kayaks.

Needs attention
Overall we had a good time. House needs some attention especially the kitchen. Cleaning could be better. Remove floats from breezeway. They reek. Clean under beds. Needs new bath towels. Needs new flatware and glasses. Bees and wasps everywhere. Had to call to have lawn mowed. Oven needed maintenance.
