I was delighted that it was quiet place to stay and having a big communal kitchen to make it a self-catering + B&B hybrid.
I was shown to my room by the barman and to all the facilities but no explanation about all the food in the kitchen. When I asked he said whats in the fridge is belonging to other guests but whats out on the benches is from us - wrong! Next day the housekeeper said only the milk is from us. So I had helped myself to other peoples bread etc!

Excellent location above a pub and right on Carrick Main Street. Rooms were basic but clean and had everything we needed. Staff were great and the breakfast delicious.

Nice, spacious room, convenient location for the area. Decent Irish breakfast. Dinners are good too. Close to the bus route (literally in front of the inn) and around the corner from an electric bike rental.
Bed was on the hard side and I didn't sleep that comfortably. I would have rated it a bit higher had it not been for that factor.
Thin walls and you could hear the neighbors doing everything, if you catch my drift.

Extremely clean room, comfortable bed, fantastic facilities ie, kitchen and living area, bar and restaurant. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the bar staff are very friendly. It it is located in the centre of Carrick.
