The location is great since it's in the center of the Penaplata town. It is very near to the wet market, food shops (karenderia), convenience stores (mini marts, sari-sari store) and lastly just at the back of the church.

This guesthouse is apparently not well taken care of. The owner seems to be stucked out of the country due to the pandemic and there are care takers who are supposed to be taking care of the property. First, the room is not well maintained. The beddings, blanket and towel smells like not properly washed. The washroom is not really great since the bathroom sink is mostly stuck and there is some smell due to poor cleaning. On my 2nd day of stay, suddenly the toilet flush doesn't work and I discovered someone turned off the water connection to the water tank. Not really sure what was the intention of doing that but it's not cool. Only 1 tissue was provided and no other toiletries. The biggest negative is they mention that breakfast is included but when we arrived at the place, the caretaker is saying it's not and they just forgot to remove it. Not a good customer experience. Lastly, upon my arrival it seems the people in this place didn't realize a guest is coming. The entrance was full of chicken meat (like hundreds of them lying on the floor) which apparently is being loaded to a truck van. I don't mind since I'm not that picky but for sure that will be a big turn off. Plus, most of the time, the staff/caretaker are nowhere to be found when I needed them.
