Hotel Panorama has obviously once been a good hotel. It has a clean (salt water) swimming pool, is spacious and has a cool, if slightly retro design. The bathrooms are clean and well fitted out. The buffet breakfast was good,.

Our room had stains all over the carpet. I felt uncomfortable taking off my shoes in it. The furniture in both rooms was worn and peeling. They serve breakfast and dinner but no lunch or even bar snacks during the day and the nearest restaurants are a taxi journey away. It has a panoramic view but the main feature of that view is a bridge with a busy road on it. We asked for two rooms close together for us and our children but were placed on different floors. The cleaners smoke in the cleaning room and that snell somewhat lingered in our room which was opposite.

The swimming pool and the breakfast was ok.

I've booked a room with a balcony and I didn't get it. I heard another guest complaining about the same. The toilet was dirty.

Service at the hotel and the restaurant is desperately slow. At times neither the reception or the bar were staffed at all. Dinner provided excellent quality food which was well prepared- but it took nearly 3.5 hours from when we ordered until we were served.

The hotel and facilities, particularly the gym, need some investment. The management acknowledged this but some of the gym equipment was downright dangerous and should have been removed.

Parking was ok.

Hotel supposed to be 4 star, but the equipment and services were much lower than the 4 star standard
