room was freezing cold and took ages to warm up. very basic room and a bit scruffy in places.

ok where to start I hope the owners look at this in a positive manner. 1. the room (No2) was very cold and the bathroom was like a fridge. the tv in the room was like a postage stamp. the lights in the room are full of cobwebs. 2. the bar was very cold. to the point where nobody stayed in it after eating. 3. there were 3 open style fires in the bar area, in my opinion had the fires been lit people would have stayed in the bar drinking. 4. very limited options at Breakfast. full English or beans on toast. I fully understand that it’s biased towards eating but with a little thought there could be some comfy chairs placed in the bar to make it more comfortable. I stay in a lot of hotels with work and in my opinion the 9.1 booking.com rating is wrong. once again in my opinion this is not a £110 / night hotel…..it’s £65 to £80 at most. all that said small changes could make a massive difference. like I said I hope the owners see the benefit in this review as I have taken time out to write it because I like what the hotel could be.

Cosy seats by the fire would have made our stay. And a bath instead of a shower.

breakfast was amazing, couldn't get a taxi so jayne gave me a lift to where I needed to ho. Great customer service

Breakfast was fine with excellent service and a friendly face. The room was fine and clean however a little small. Dinner was good value.

A larger room would have been nice.

The hosts John and Jayne were fantastic, so helpful and chatty. The room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was made to order, came out freshly made and hot. We couldn't fault it at all. I have mobility problems and my husband is partially sighted. The room was so light and airy and near the Inn itself. Would certainly go again.

Being disabled I would suggest a handrail on the side for holding onto while in the shower and maybe a folding seat to make it more accessible. But the shower room was nice and big and a good shower.
