Great location and big room
Unfortunately our room was not in the hotel complex but in a separate apartment. Stuffy and humid scent with small bathroom facilities

Such an amazing hotel - I've never stayed anywhere quite like it. Set in a converted mansion, the history of the building is visible in every aspect of the hotel. Everything was great - the room, the pool, restaurant, valet. Huge plus points for the hotel staff who were so professional and accomodating.

Tha staff was excellent and very attentive to our needs.

Location
Charged me because they claimed I booked twice through booking. Same dates yet they charged me penalties and said to take it up with Booking.

Location is great
Friendly staff
Building has authenticity, works very well on pictures but…
This place could use some renovation
My kids had the garden room but this room has no windows at all…
If you want to have a beer or coffee at 4 pm, not possible at the hotel…

The location is great!
The bathroom
3.5
The location is great, within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and local sightseeing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms could use upgrades especially items like the TV (which is tiny), the bed was not very comfortable and the bedding could also use an upgrade.
4.5
Great location and nice good old world charm.
The bathroom floods. Just don't expect everything will work. It's Mexico and compared to other hotels i had stayed at, this one is already pretty good.

The room with the big cross was a little bit special. too old.

the location was about 2 blocks from the Plaza Mayor and Palacio Nacional. Easy walking distance to places we visited and bus station. We felt safe walking around the area. The AC worked well. Daily housekeeping. Desk staff assisted us with scheduling an all day taxi to take us to Uxmal and Cenote Mucuyche. well worth having our own transportation to visit these 2 places in one day.
Everyday we had to ask for wash clothes but only received about 2 out of 6 days. The bed sits very high and could be an issue for anyone under 5’3. The iron stained a piece of clothing and getting the desk staff to send it out for laundry at no charge to me was a bit of a hassle. I showed them the iron as proof. The staff should be empowered to take care of these small issues without waiting for management’s approval. we had to wait for next day’s management to decide.
The bathroom door made a terrible screeching sound when used. I let them know after the first night and they came to fix it after a bit of us not taking no for an answer. Also the TV remote did not work and it took the staff a while to get it to work. Overall not any major issues but the small issues took away from an otherwise great experience.

great location close to centre.
property didn't look as nice as it did in the photos. The rooms were very shabby. The towels looked about as old as the building !
definitely looked better in the evening with dim lighting and fairy lights.
The bar shut very early. Some staff weren't that friendly or helpful.
Wouldn't recommend despite the abundance of 'stars' and positive recommendations from others.
2.5
Staff was polite and nice, the external patio is really nice! So far from the rooms... (the hotel has great potential), free parking.
Room old and outdated, air conditioning is horrible! Noisy and you can not control the fan speed in the room. Sheet beds with stains in a relatively small beds. Low water pressure and very small bathroom.

It's an oasis in busy Mérida. Outside you would expect nothing, inside it's green with classic architecture and a very enjoyable swimming pool.
A/C blows much too hard and it's hard to find a temperature that's not too cold.

Pretty decent hotel in a great location, at a good price. Short walk to the park and evening activities and had a decent short stay. Wasn't looking for the high price, high end hotel. We were looking for a decent room and a fair price and we got that.
The bar/restaurant was pretty quiet (dead might be a better description).

The AC was so old and loud we could not maintain it on during the night
The beds were very small !!
Deco inside rooms was very poor

Our large room over looked the court yard and what a nice court yard.
Laundry sent out came back with a strong unwanted smell.

The breakfast was amazing, They have some specialty eggs that were absolutely delicious. The complex itself is beautiful. They've taken a lot of time and effort to preserve the history of the building and their culture. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who's thinking about having a close location to downtown. I was able to park my car and walk to all of the restaurants and sites easily. It's a beautiful hotel it's small, but it's got a restaurant and a pool. Most of all it's just really beautiful. I enjoyed my stay a lot.
I didn't find anything unpleasant I wish I had stayed more time there.

Good location, great staff, clean and comfortable

A lovely old building nicely converted. Pool good but not much sun gets to it.
A shame the bar isn't open all day so if you want something by the pool you need to go out of the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The building is lovely and very well designed.
It looks clean.
We stayed in 3 different types of rooms.
The studio
It is not stated in the website, but it is located next to the garage one block away of the hotel. The bathroom is super small and has a 20 cm high step to enter it. The water from the shower was overflowing every time. After two nights there, we decided to move to the main building, and luckily there was one single room free. The studio didn’t even have bathrobes or extra towels for the floor or to dry the hands. Of course, we were not reimbursed for the price difference.
I do not recommend it at all.
The double room (special room)
High ceilings, good bathroom. The tv did not count with Netflix, just local tv channels.
The single room
It is ok for one person or even two.

This hotel is gorgeous! Very interesting staying in a former convent! Everything was clean, the staff was beyond welcoming and nice!
The breakfast was delicious!
The atmosphere was wonderful in the courtyard, just beautiful!
Oh, and there were lots (6+) plugs for charging phones etc!
2 of the 6+ plugs did not work (or maybe it was just my phone acting up?!)
