The bus for the canton fair was a joke….

Great helpful attentive staff, clean and comfortable
Restaurants closed at 2.30 so not much choice to eat anywhere within hotel apart from cake shop in lobby with limited options.

Mandarin Oriental always meets their standard and MO in GZ is a gem. Excellent staff, wonderful location, lovely bedding and great Chinese restaurant. The housekeeping lady was amazing. She put all my makeup and my pile of work documents in order. She always left me a glass wipe for my glasses. A very warm and caring way as MO always offers.
The only thing that caused a bit of frustration was that the staff at the car park kept asking us to park our car to the bushes. There is no grids nor lines shown.

Never disappointed by the Mandarin Oriental: the place is stunning, personnel is very kind and welcoming, the king size beds are great and the amenities are very nice.

The staff does not know English, at all. Most calls to the reception or to room service ended up "calling the manager because the employees simply do not speak English. Room service food is not good, neither is the breakfast. Coffee arrives in about 20 minutes from when you ask. The gym is ok but not equipped enough. The pool outside is nice. The room however was amazing. I would come back for the good price and great infrastructure but staffing is really horrible and it leaves a bad impression.

Good location, theres swimming hat for lending, sweet polite frontdesk and housekeeping. There was an incident during my stay, all their staff reacted swiftly and proposed a compensation plan. Definitely will revisit, exceptional hospitality.
