It was clean, had hot watter, owner was pleasant and helpfull

This house has a lot of character but not done a repair for a long time and because of that the place was not appealing. Walls are moldy. No WIFI. No heater. No lake view from room. Theses are mentioned as included in Booking.com. We had to ask for towels. No toiletries and toilet papers; only one piece of soap provided.
Room was not clean. Hair in the bath tub. Two pieces of used soap were in random places. Also bathtub not useable because it does not have a plug. Hotel told us bath can not used because there was insufficient hot water.
House rules (a notice in the room) says alcohol and Pork is not allowed.
Breakfast was included but we didn't stay for breakfast.

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. The cleanliness was very bad, even there were no basic facilities such as towels or soap, making the stay uncomfortable and inconvenient. It felt like a waste of money considering the lack of basic amenities. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, adding to the negative experience. Additionally, the overall service quality was very poor, further contributing to a frustrating and unsatisfactory stay.

The only funny thing was the outfit of the furnitures.
This apartmant was terrible.
While there was 10 degrees outside, inside no heating. We had blankets without covers, so unhygenic. Not to mention the disgusting kitchen and bathroom. No hot water from the shower, just from sink with low pressure.
We had free breakfast due to booking.com (for one room while we booked two). In the first run they denied it, but after showing the confirmation they provided for us. When I asked the price for the second room they said 800 LKR per person. I said okay (still so expensive comparing with the average Sri Lanka price) but five mins later they came thst the price is 1200. :D Then we didnt order it.

The staff doesn't speak English, they didn't know how to respond to anything.
The house was very old and very dirty.
With the same key you can open the doors of all the rooms.
Everything was very dirty, the towels, the sheets, the cushions… one of them with gum stuck to it.
Any noise is heard a lot, it was raining and it seemed that the house was going to break down.

Great hotel 🔥. Friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel for this price. Staff welcome me with cup of tea 🍵. It is one of the best place to stay your holidays. 👍

Rooms were spacious but becoming bit dated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location is close to Lake Gregory and you can find a restaurant within 5 mins of walk. Got parking on premise.

The bed looked very comfortable but all the house was really old and not well maintained
There was nobody in the house, it felt quiet cold and lonely. Most cold welcome ever.
I have been asked to come back to the house for 10.30pm at night otherwise the gate will be closed ..
I was with some friends in a bar so I tried to bargain to be able to come back later, as I considered I should be able to come back to my room anytime. They asked me to come back at 11. I decided to sleep at my friend's place. The day after I cancelled my other night, I warmed them I was coming back at a certain time to take my stuff and check out. When I arrived, there was absolutely no-one to check me out. I just let the money on the table with a note.
