Ottima colazione

Lovely hotel , great location , good spa facilities , friendly staff
The restaurant is a disaster , we had 2 vegetarians in our group , who are not difficult and easy to please , but most nights they left the restaurant hungry as there was no vegetarian option on the half board or a la carte menu . Despite complaining every night and being told they would cook something for them the following night , no vegetarian option was available , offered puree cauliflower, or eggs after complaining. After 7 days you would have thought they would have got their act together for New Years Eve , but no , management were rude and difficult and told us to eat elsewhere if we didnt like it . Do not stay here if you have any dietary requirements. See picture of New Years Eve vegetarian menu .
We were told all vegetarians eat fish in France . !!!!

great location, lovely spa
could do better with gluten free breakfast provision

The setting and the soze of the room.
No air conditioning - in the warmer months, this is really a problem at night.
The coffee machines taste TERRIBLE at breakfast...maybe clean them?
The need for dinner reservations for hotel guests is pretty silly...

The staff I encountered was delightful. Big shout-out to the front desk people I saw almost daily: Yael, Liam, Mohammed and Shérada. All of them are warm, gracious, and considerate. In the restaurant, Damien and the hardworking chefs are thoughtful and sympathetic people. They helped us dine in our room for a few nights. These guys are truly beautiful examples of customer service.
Loved the mountain views and the room decor. We were grateful to be upgraded, but I can assure you that all of the rooms have the same serene views and spacious layouts.
Happy that we went with the all-inclusive option. The food is delicious, the cocktails well-done.
Restaurant service was slow but Yael rescued us by finding a work-around! Spa was just okay. There are superior options outside of the hotel.

Our suite was great, overlooking the mountains. Very modern, stylish and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very good. The reception staff is very nice and helpful👍
The only problem is the restaurant: Few staff in the restaurant, late serving of food and limited choice for breakfast and dinner!
The rest is great 👍, Excellent👍

Visit was during summer. Excellent location for hikes in nearby mountains, including over the border with Italy (La Thuile, etc.). A visit to the Hospice Petit St-Bernard and its surroundings is also worth it. Breakfast was quite good. Restaurant (for dinner) was reasonably-priced with great food. Room was spacious, with a great view (5th floor). It was clean. Wi-fi was stable. Staff were very nice. Spa was also great, especially hammam. Swimming pool and jacuzzi good, but they may get crowded late afternoon. Hotel is in great condition, with modern equipment.
We had parking underground. However, there is free parking on the street during the day. During the night, there is free parking under the Tourist Office. Otherwise, Euros 14/day for parking at the Hotel. It is not clear why it may be risky to park outside the hotel, as the signs for 'no-parking outside at night' may be only for winter season, not summer season. Yet, plenty of cars remained park outside, behind the hotel, for several days in a row. I doubt they got a parking fine.

The hotel, personnel, rooms, swimming pool- everything was great, clean, fresh-only positive emotions!
The only REAL problem was restaurant in the hotel (demi-pension). The food was ok but the service and logistics inside the restaurant was not just bad-it was hopeless. All the classical mistakes were there: the clients had to wait for an hour or so to get the menu. About an hour to get the food. The dishes were not coming at the same time ( I was finishing my main course while my kids finally got their starter). The personnel was constantly forgetting what we ordered and bringing us not a complete set of things. Real « Cauchemar en cuisine! ». The chef was ok, making good food but the service unfortunately… I think that they didn’t have enough personnel for the season and those they had were nice people but not professionals. Sorry! Only the sence of humor was saving us 😉Hope they will improve for the next season. 4 stars hotel should have better service in restaurant.

Was disappointed about hald pension dinner. Limited choice and all days about the same. Quality of food ok. I would not order half pension again. Went several days to an other place for dinner while I had paid for half pension.

The reception staff was very friendly and seemed pretty good although failed to inform us that we had to book the sauna due to COVID. The room was wonderful, very spacious and comfortable. They have one of the local ski shops operating out of the hotel and the guy was great for rentals, very helpful and accommodating. There are ski lockers right by the slope in the hotel. Ski-in-out for most skiers.
The breakfast was terrible, do NOT spend the extra money, rather go somewhere else for breakfast. Same goes for the dinner, really not worth the money, don't book half-board nor bother going for dinner in the hotel restaurant. Service at breakfast and dinner was a mess. They have paid for parking but it was not required when we were there, there was plenty of parking outside which seemed free. The hot tubs (especially the outdoor one) are partially broken. The indoor pool is a bit on the cold side. Even though there are two indoor hot tubs and one outdoor one all allow children so there were children in all of them on our visits.

Well loved all of it, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the pool and spa are just what was needed after a hard day and the ski shop in the hotel is a blessing although I did feel it was quite expensive compared to other available hire shops down the road.
The breakfast was lovely and more than adequate. Although some porridge would have been nice.
The staff were great and the underground parking was a bonus.
They all aim to please.
The evening menu was great for me but for pickier eaters it was quite limiting with some more obscure flavours. Service was sometimes really slow on an evening, but didn't bother us too much as we are on holiday and what's the rush, but I think if our daughter was younger it may have been too long.

Beautiful hotel, with brand new interior. Nice, friendly design. Bedrooms very comfortable, quiet, excellent beds. Restaurant very well designed, big space with high ceilings, amazing views of the Alps across the valley towards Les Arcs. Outside terrace for drinks after skiing. Good SPA with a large swimming pool and Finnish sauna. Staff very friendly and well educated. Interior skishop with very skilled person. Also an interior chocolaterie, imagine that. From the skilocker room, you step directly onto your skis towards the skilift. All in all a great experience.
Breakfast is missing some key items which a 4-star like this deserves: a person making fresh omelettes/eggs, bit more extension on the healthy stuff like different mueslis, yoghurts, fresh nuts, fresh juices, bit more cheeses and hams, as well as fresh juices. Dinner menu was a bit limited, and could also do with some quality improvement. Last but not least the layout of the Spa should be modified: the sauna is now right next to the reception desk, which is a bit strange given staff as well as visitors collect there, whilst you're walking around naked. The Turkish sauna was closed which was a pity.

comfortable, good design , friendly staff
could offer tea and biscuits after ski activity
could have more variety at breakfast lacking granola or porridge

Recently refurbished hotel. Everything was pretty well done.
Great location.
Very poor breakfast. Every day the same - ham, cheese, beans, eggs, bacon, bakery an yogurt. Literally that was all and, as I sad, every day the same. we stood 8 days…
If you don’t ask explicitly to clean your room or change the towels, they’re not doing it.
Restaurant - great refurbishment, pretty comfortable, but the service, variety and quality of the food wasn’t at same level. They must work a lot in this direction (breakfast included).
The prices was relatively good for such level of hotel, but also was some strange price decisions - for instance- 40cc of standard Macallan whisky - 35€ - it’s a little bit over…
SPA - poor massage offer. Everything else was correct.

we liked the family suit and facilities of the hotel, but most importantly the staff, the friendliest, very helpful and enjoyable in communication. We had one of the most memorable winter vacations as a family.
a little pricey, but understandable due to new year season.

The view from my room was absolutely spectacular! It was in the perfect position, close to the ski lifts and paths. The staff were absolutely amazing, they helped me when my car got stuck in the snow - but instead of just helping me they just asked for my keys and told me to enjoy my day without any stress. The staff went above and beyond with their service and I am grateful for everything that they did for me. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone no matter who you are or what you’re looking for.
I was suffering from altitude sickness during my stay and I found it difficult to eat the food in the restaurant. The food was amazing however it was very rich. The only thing I would say is that they should introduce a few plain meals to make it easier to eat when feeling sick. However I loved the food whenever I could eat it - the tarteflette is to die for!

Excellent facilities and location. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Sometimes the staff in the H40 restaurant needed a bit of prompting eg to bring a spoon having been served soup
